Removing Hatch supports/shocks

I can't seem to get the hatch supports off of my 92 hb. Anyone know how to do this?

ShEaNy 12-07-2004 04:25 PM

the struts that push the hatch up? shouldnt there just be a few bolts at each end?

sideshow775 12-07-2004 04:27 PM

nope. They pivot on i guess ball ends. I can't see any at all

Not that Ive ever played with the ones on a honda, but on my moms jeep, there is a clip that must be removed and then the shock just pops off.

Where are our hatch people?!

on my teg i can take the plastic piece out and i will see a nut and a stud there. that's how i remove them.

btw where can i find some stronger ones ? since the spoiler got put on the hatch it always falls on my head.

Are you talking about the plastic panels? because i can't get them off because they are molded around the shock. I dunno i guess i will try to find the clip or the nuts but i haven't been able to see them. Thanx for the help
