test fit

Well today i bolted up the turbo and the manifold to see how it's all going to fit. So i took off the fan for the a/c so i could get some more clearance. The turbo fit but the problem is that the turbo exhaust outlet is really close to the a/c condenser leaving no virtually no room for a downpipe. I also noted how close the wastegate actuator was to the a/c radiator, and it was then that i realised that an external wastegated setup would have worked perfectly

So since i don't have the bills to spring for an external wastegate right now, i think i'm going to attempt to remove my a/c until spring, and then get a external wastegate setup and reinstall the a/c.

Oh and another thing, after i reinstalled the oe manifold i started it and it threw a cel. I noticed i didn't have a a/f reading on my turbo timer so i figured i forgot to plug in the o2 sensor. Plugged it back in and the light still won't go off. So i checked the code and it was 41 [Primary oxygen sensor heater]. So i unplugged the battery quickly and i don't think it reset anything, so i'm gonna leave it unpluged and hope it goes away. Other than that, car runs fine, and a/f ratio values seem normal.

So if anyone has anything to add, or any info on how to remove a/c it'd be appreciated.

You will end up draining yur refrigerant anyway. Make sure that you plug or cap all the A/C lines to prevent any debris from getting in the system.....

Not really hard to take the A/C compressor off. Drain it first...
