Chick Flicks

What's your favorite chick flick?

If you don't like chick flicks...what's your favorite movie?

ShagginJet 05-07-2004 11:59 AM

shawshank redemption is my favorite movie.

chick flick...? give me some popular ones, i don't discriminate just because they're chick flicks.

SolPol 05-07-2004 12:00 PM

Shawshank is a great movie.

You ever read the novella it's based on?

Kool-Aid 05-07-2004 12:11 PM

Im not usually into chick flicks...but my favorite is " Something's Gotta Give"...with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson...very cute and realistic...

MegaDON 05-07-2004 04:52 PM

Rocky II is my favorite movie, i watch it at least 2 a month

mylittlecivic 05-07-2004 07:31 PM

the matrix, gattaca, dogfight, fight club, all adam sandler movies, money cant buy me love(80's ver.), slc punk!, bill and teds excellent adventure.....

ShagginJet 05-07-2004 09:12 PM

pdiggitydogg 05-07-2004 09:21 PM

shawshank is great

for some reason i liked that mandy moore movie...the one where she was a churchy girl who had cancer or something. that was alright

IALuder 05-07-2004 09:39 PM

ebpda9 05-07-2004 10:06 PM

Kool-Aid 05-08-2004 06:26 AM

Yea, I liked snatch too...I haven't seen Shawshank yet though...

spoogenet 05-08-2004 12:04 PM

Shawshank is an awesome movie.

Too many movies to list. But as far as chick flicks go, I'd probably say Amelie is higher in my rankings than most.

Kool-Aid 05-08-2004 01:17 PM

Whyyyyyyy....you don't wanna disown me!!!!!
I promise I'll watch it.

IALuder 05-08-2004 01:39 PM

its always on TV. i have seen it 10 times if not more.

DsBlu01CivEX 05-08-2004 02:03 PM

it took me forever to see Shawshank....it's a great movie...I cried.

As for a favorite chick flick....uh I guess The Sweetest Thing would be one of my favorites. I like stupid comedies a ton (sandler, spade, farley movies....I like SNL cast members) but I can get into a good romantic comedy now and again.

Kool-Aid 05-09-2004 01:53 AM

Well, it's here on DVD...I just don't like movies that make me cry...I shall watch it today/tonight.

Kalvin 05-09-2004 04:50 AM

Shawshank Redemption is great... other favorite movies include Braveheart, LOTR, The Postman. I prefer the longer movies... more time to develop the characters and the story.

chick flick.. what popped in my mind right now was Serendipity.

Kool-Aid 05-10-2004 01:12 AM

If you guys ever get a chance...watch Ripley's Game....weird movie...

IALuder 05-10-2004 11:42 AM

seen it, forgot it. i would have to rewatch it to remember what its about but i got a general idea still.

Whiteclipse99 05-10-2004 03:35 PM

Geez, I didn't realize Shawshank Redemption was everybody’s pick for favorite movie. It is indeed an excellent movie, and has been one of my top picks for awhile now. One of my favorite quotes is from that movie...."Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies"

As for favorite chick flick movie, I'm a fan of almost any romantic comedy. A few of my favs are The Wedding Planner, Notting Hill, Love Actually and The Sweetest Thing.

Kool-Aid 05-11-2004 02:36 AM

I watched ummm....The House of Sand and Fog...now thats a pretty crazy and depressing movie there....I don't recommend it but if you like depressing movies...it's all yours...

ShagginJet 05-11-2004 10:05 AM

^ So did you watch shawshank?

Kool-Aid 05-11-2004 03:26 PM

Everytime I go to check it out someone would already have it so no. That seems to always happen to me...I would want to see a movie when it's not there...but it's there when I don't wanna see it...I think I am jinksed...

LadySi2000 05-12-2004 02:38 PM

fav movie mmmm....final destination 2 and all of the Nightmare of Elm Streets

Fav chick flick.... Father of the Bride, Pretty Woman, Truth about Cats and Dogs, Pump Up The Volume, all the 80's brat pack movies. (gotta be old, like me, to know those)

DsBlu01CivEX 05-12-2004 03:00 PM

^^I know the brat pack movies...they're great! how old are you?

LadySi2000 05-12-2004 03:36 PM

biker's back 05-12-2004 04:54 PM

Kool-Aid 05-12-2004 06:57 PM

Anyone ever see Love Stinks?? That's a real funny and crazy movie...

ShagginJet 05-13-2004 10:38 AM

^ Nope but i remember the love stinks song from Wedding Singer.

Kool-Aid 05-13-2004 03:18 PM

Love Stinks is crazy...watch it...

ShagginJet 05-13-2004 04:12 PM

^ we can rent it and watch it at your place when you get back... ;)

Kool-Aid 05-13-2004 05:34 PM

Of course we can...but you'll want to go out in the town...not sit at my place and watch movies...

ShagginJet 05-13-2004 05:56 PM
