mounting amps

ok i just bought my new apm its a hifonics zeues zx6400 amp and its way to big to mount unber my seat so where should i mount it in my trunk and still be able to use the trunck as a trunck i was think on the trunck lid has ne1 done that be4?

you might have a weight issue, i know that amp is a little on the big side, you bes bet is a clean mount on the back of the seat, that wayyou have full access to your trunk, and another thing, heat travels up, so you dont ant to run an amp upside down , youll loose power. whcih is another thing, amps loose half thier power through heat, so that is another thing to think about, a nonconspicuous location that recieves enough air

no problem, i see it alot, if mounted right you wont hurt your amp as long as you tune it right

all i knwo is never mount an amp on the sub box, all the shaking and vibrating makes it fall apart, it rly hurts it....

AkimboStylee 03-20-2004 09:22 PM

not really, if the amp is built nice thatn you wont any problems, besides there is less vibratiing on the box than there is on the back of the seat.
