Favorite Generation of Civic?
 

WHat gen do you like? I like the 6th since I own one.

EG

I own a 6th gen.. My girlfriend owns a 5th Gen.. Honestly... I like the 5th gen better.. The seats are more comfortable, and I just think it feels better IMO.

There was a time I wouldn't be caught dead in a 6th Gen... I hated the headlights, of all things. Now I own one, and the headlights are painted over halfway. Funny how things work out. Now, I can't get enough of hitting 5500rpm and activating that 'wild' cam.

Funny, i felt the same about the 6th gen.. but now


My vote goes to GEN 6

i like 4, 5, and 6 gen coupe.

4th gen is just a classic all around. for me, suping up a 4th gen is a more challenging task nowadays due to parts inavailability. just imagine driving the classic coupe man!

5th gen is the beggining of the new era of civic. i like the it for it's weight and IMO, the seat is better than 6 gen.

6th gen's head lights are just the BOMB! overall i love the car especially the 99-00. i just wish that the 5 gen seats were left for the 6th gen.

7th gen, it's ok.......

i got a 4th gen so i have give it props.
l love the 5th gen its great.

What the hell is that all about? I know you take pride in annoying the hell out of everyone with your sarcastic answers... I know you IQ is 138 (or so you say), and I also know that you are blunt and to the point, but I dont understand why you post so much nonsense and always have to sound like you think your above everyone else. What do you find so amusing with this statement:

I am agreeing with you. YOU ARE RIGHT!!! Gen 5 is the best generation of CiViC. And, I own a Gen 6 CiViC myself, so...

Look, it's as simple as this; the CiViC as we have known it is dead. The 'new' CiViC, so called, is not a CiViC at all. Gen 6 CiViCs, like you and I own, were the beginning of the end, And now it's over.

The Gen 5 CiViC was - is - and will forever be regarded as 'the chosen ones.' They are the enlightened embodiment of the CiViC ideal and the epitome of what CiViC once stood for. They were the '55 Chevy of the 90's, if you will.

I'll be writing an article on this shortly. Hang in there, bro...

I oWn a 5th gen CIVIC.

I own the 99-00 coupe. Personally, I like the body better because it's bigger.

But I like the 5th's hatchback better then the 6th's.
The interior of the 5th's is better too.

Nothing looks better then a 6th gen hatch, 99-00. In fact I just saw a real CTR... yep, a 2000 CTR Championship White in Milwaukee, Wisconsin last night.

Turns out the guy got it imported for $13000 with front end damage. Now the thing looks brand new...mugen rims, exhuast, RHD...damn, it was so nice. No crazy body kit, just OEM honda.

I would also love to build a 4th gen hatch.

6th gen the interior is more refined than the 5th gen, although I agree that the 5th gen is the choicest, OBDI etc.

I definatly like the 5th gen hatches the most but I like the 6th gen hatches too.

The 6th gen coupe looks the best coupe, but hatchback i like the 5G...I was looking for a 5G hatch before i decided on a del sol

Coupe:
-6th Gen
--Smoother body transitions. Interior is more "cozy".

Hatchback:
-5th Gen
--No "triangle" tail lights. Cheap project car. Better overall body style.


I'd love to have a 5th gen hatch for a project car, but I'd never give up my 6th gen coupe....

EG6 i think is my favorite Civic... Maybe because i own one... Or simply cuz i like the way it drives... From driving the 4th, 5th and 6th gen hatches...

You know, I keep meaning to comment on this. Is it just me, or do the Gen 6 CiViC coupes look a lot like BMW coupes, or what - black ones in particular? I swear, I can't remember how many times I've been fooled into thinking a black BMW coupe is a Gen 6 CiViC, and vice-versa.

I think it's the "smooth body transitions", like you said. Good description...

hmmm some on said the 4G had inavailability man i think they are the easiest to tune an by far the most aftermarket potential, i think they are one of the nicest cars i am talkin SiR comes dohc hmm you can swap but come on it comes w/ a b16 already;)

Yeah the black ones can be deceiving. Sometimes the green ones as well...

They really do.. especially from the back corner panel looking forward.. I think if they would have squared the front a little more they would look dead onto one.
