my friend wants to buy those. but how hard are they to install?

pdiggitydogg 01-28-2006 03:47 PM

nope, totally plug and play
he just has to learn to read km instead

Just remove 2 screws, pull the bezel, undo 4 bolts around the cluster, unplug 4 connectors. Replace cluster and reverse.

sweet thanks.

any suggestions on the guages? like dislikes ect...

sicones 01-28-2006 05:16 PM

I'd like to get the 99-00 si guages, it will also get rid of the P,R,N,D lights from my automatic swap, plus they look better.

I like the em1 gauges too, but i hate how it says SI on the fuel/temp section.
I found the part number to the canadian section, but it was $100...and I dont feel like spending more than 1/2 of what I paid for the entire unit, on one dinky piece.... Oh, the canadian SIR has that written on the speedo, leaving the fuel section blank.

^pics?

pdiggitydogg 01-29-2006 01:21 PM

like this:

but without the SIR

sicones 01-29-2006 02:42 PM

^^^thats the canadian one then, right??? I like how it says Si by the temp and gas part, it looks sporty

JDMFantasy2k 01-29-2006 03:01 PM

i love the EM1 cluster. Plus i like the "Si" since i want to do an Si conversion someday

sicones 01-29-2006 03:58 PM

your turbo d is already better then an si, you just need rear disk brakes, which I'm planning on doing very soon.

pdiggitydogg 01-29-2006 04:24 PM

Yeah, but if it didnt have any markings, it would look so much cleaner
usdm majority, cdm fuel/temp section
