so i finally got the money and drop off my h23 spare block. its getting bored to 89mm and cleaned. then having Oil squirts installed for safer high rpm driving.

ChrisCantSkate 06-28-2006 09:39 AM

looking good man. im glad your doing it right, ive seen too many people try and slap the h22 head on the h23 block with no other work... dosnt work well. im glad to see some h-loving still out there

IALuder 06-28-2006 04:35 PM

yea, i love the H hybrid. im think all crower head work. stage 2 camshafts, cams, vavles, retainers

IALuder 06-29-2006 09:10 PM

people are telling me to paint the block...but whats the point in doing that?

pdiggitydogg 07-02-2006 12:30 PM

i could see a ceramic paint retaining a little heat (?)

IALuder 07-02-2006 02:44 PM

if thats all it will do, screw that. look at the BLING

IALuder 07-18-2006 10:14 PM

just purchased:

Gude Bored and port matched throttle body/IM chamber 67mm to 63mm instead of 60mm to 56mm. This will bolt right in on an H23 or it will require mounting a map sensor on the firewall if you want to use this with an H22 (like I did). I can include one for a little extra. Also includes brand new OEM TB gasket. I don't know if this will work with a 5th gen because a local guy tried to use it and he had a hunting idle and a CEL for the Intake Air Temp sensor (which is on the runners, not the IM chamber). I never got to look at it before he put his old one back on. $150shipped

i plan to port it out to euro R size.

IALuder 07-22-2006 10:10 PM

well time to take out the old.

it threw a couple of rods. so i had to buy the civic to get the lude running. but i might keep the civic for shits n giggles.

but here is the progress we made.

AzCivic 07-23-2006 12:54 AM
