1990 Honda Accord 4 speed overdrive tranny

I have a 1990 Honda Accord with 100,000
I noticed that when coming off the highway to a full stop, the tranny has slight "clunk" as it downshifts itself to 1st gear.
Also, when cold, it hesitates slightly until it grabs. This is only when cold, then goes away for the rest of the day.
I am wondering how these tranny's hold up and if anyone else has experienced symptoms similar to mine.
I called AAMCO and they said there are NO ADJUSTMENTS to make on these transmissions...

Over Drive

I contacted Honda and they suggested an additive called LUBEGARD. Honda said these particular tranny's are know for hard shifting. I drained the tranny fluid, put in the Honda Tranny fluid and a half of bottle of LUBEGARD. Within 2 hours I noticed a big improvment. I am in the process of re-painting my 1990 Accord with 100,000 miles and before I did, just didn't want to be replacing an expensive item (tranny) anytime soon.
The web site fo rhtis stuff is: http://www.lubegard.com/index.html

Wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing these symptons with their auto tansmissions.

Lube Guard

The Lube guard was lees than $14.00 I think..i also put in a tube of shudder fix as well.

There are NO ADJUSTMENTS to these tranny's, so we need to change the flud with original Honda Fluid..and of course some Lubregaurd will go a long way on keeping these puppies happy campers.
I just rolled 100,00 on my 1990 and have decided to re-paint her and have all the rust taken care of..
As Neil young says, Long may she run.....
