I have a jl audio full spec-6 sustem with a 16" subwoofer what do you guys have?

AkimboStylee 03-23-2004 11:02 PM

Sorry, but jl never made a 16 inch subwoofer, so i am calling bullshit!

pdiggitydogg 03-24-2004 09:58 AM

yes
and even if it were a 15" woofer that bastard would weigh a crap load and more...you would not want such an item weighing you down if you want to go fast.

My car has 4speaker alpine type r speakers and 2 honda tweeters
powered by an alpine cda-7984 mp3 headunit

I call it bullshit. Im starting to doubt if u even have a car! But i used to have 2 12" Audiobahn (dunno which series exactly but i think they were AW1200Q) powered by 1200 Watt Sony Xplod amp. It bumped hard as fuck i can tell u that much.

I have a JL audio 14" sub.. that hits hard as hell, and had to have a custom box made for it

I have 2 tens as well.. the JL isnt in my car because of the weight factor.

AkimboStylee 03-24-2004 03:50 PM

i have 2 kicker solo baric s2l7 in a custom enclosure, panasonic touch screen headunit, and kenwood speakers all around

how much money did that all cost and was it hard to install?

AkimboStylee 03-24-2004 06:38 PM

it depends on well you know how to install speakers, if you which wire is positive, which wire is negative, if you know where to install tweeters to get the best possible sound(dash facing windshield, btw) then no it is not hard, we dont know your skills so it is hard to tell if we are on the same level> got it? not to be an ass though, sorry if it seems that way!

pdiggitydogg 03-24-2004 06:58 PM

i just replaced the honda speakers w/ the alpines
the tweeters were already there (window corner, near a pillar)
changing decks is easy as cake

Sivik 03-25-2004 01:37 AM

2 POS Alpine subs (10") - $100
1 POS US Acoustics Amp - $100
1 Homemade Box - $25

Rattling the whole car with noise - priceless

There are some things I can't buy, but everything else is crap. Accepted by me everywhere.

c0ng0 b0ng0 03-25-2004 01:44 AM

so should i sell my jl audio equipment and get alpine or have someone make me my own box and have a speaker store put them in for me

C's 94 InTeGrA 03-25-2004 07:00 AM

alright... man will u stop bullcraping about everything you say!!? We told u they dont make a 16in sub. i was running 3 12's and 3 amps and had it tested at 143.6DB's.
