basic question about preludes...
i'm looking out of curiousity (and a friend has a 98) at a 99 prelude sh and was wondering what the exact difference is between the base and sh model. i did a search and all i saw was atts, and i have no idea what that is. thanks for humoring a person new to these cars.

well, the atts system, the SH has painted trim around the bottom, comes with different rims, only comes in manual, has a leather shift knob, has courtisy lights.... i think thats it

The ATTS stands for Active Torque Transfer System. Basically, when cornering, the tranny puts more power to the outside wheel to improve turning.

thanks guys

SH means sport handling....that's the only difference. It has upgraded shocks and springs and a skirt package, but the motor is identical.

wouldnt more power to the inside wheel be better? in cornering?

no, think about what wheels have to spin more in a corner... its the outer ones, they cover more ground. putting power to those wheels (well.... wheel) causes the car to be flug around the corner. |
hmmm i just thought if u do put more power to the inside wheel....spinning more or not..it would haul the car around the turn faster...since its closer to the turn i guess lol.i dont know..ill take ur word for it..:paranoid:

sh has slightly more aggressive camshafts also same duration just a little higher lift
