(other than what was posted on h-t, I cant think of anything else)

looks for a vacuum leak, or if the thermostat is gone the car will idle weird too. same goes for air bubbles in the cooling system. as the fans go kick the ac in and see if they turn on. if they do then check for the fan swithces on the back of the head.
