Iat

Sooo my ls intake manifold doesnt have an IAT.
Give me a reason why I cant use the IAT from the y8, block/plug the IAT hole on the IM, and insert it on the intake arm again.
(If it was a threaded IAT, Id do that...but its a silly plug type)

So let me get this straight, I know that the Y8 IAT sensor is a plug type which is held by a grommet on the intake pipe.

The LS IAT sensor should have 2 screws for mounting and is mounted directly on the IM.

It will work either/or. But bro, let me look around to see if I can get you one. I might have some laying around....

So are you saying if you can use the Y8 IAT sensor and grommet mount it onto the intake pipe?

Right, exactly. (Dont ask why I thought the ls's was threaded last night)
I was planning on using the intake tubing from the y8's setup on the ls until I gather all the parts for boost.
IAT's are too much money from the dealer, for what they are...if I can do the swap I'll save myself the trouble.
Plus, Im not sure if the connector for the ls's and y8's will be the same.

If you have one sitting around, cool. If not, no biggie. I can make a little plate and block it off

Bro, the clip should be the same. I dont remember replacing it. I just had to extend the wire.

Pdiggs, you better do the swap yourself man! I will kick you if you dont... ha ha.... There is nuthin' to it... I'll be at your dispose online and/or call my cell 757-575-8069.

Oh Im definately doing it myself.
Even if I didnt have a single clue, Id be dumb enough to try.
I figure, though, if I can replace tranny bearing, I can swap an engine easy.

that's what I'm talking about
