Gas Mileage
What kind of gas mileage do you get in your Accords. Right now, on the highway driving sanely, I get 30+, and in town, I get around 24-35.

I'll let you know next week when I fill up...
 |
hmmm i dunno what it works down to but i know i usually do around 480-580 kms before i have to fill back up

What the?! Really? With stereo, rims, & tweakes? You must run it till the light comes on.. Thats freaking amazing. Before I had any accessories I used to do 500 max. Now I do 400 max. Throw in a couple of swift take-off's and I'l barely get to 320. You know on those nights when we have meets. ;( |

Whoa, I can get 320 MILES on a tank  Have you had a tune up recently? |
Man are you kidding?!
You wouldnt believe how much I dump into keeping my car in top shape!! 320 is on a really bad night.. Well I mean, good.. You know with a lot a take-off's.. Like on a typical get together night. With my stock wheels (winter) & some other stuff off I should be able to do 450. Oh well thats the price I have to pay to be beautiful & quick! j/k ;) |

I hear you on that one. That's always my first priority too. Quote:

hey dont laugh.. it's the truth! j/k ;) |
thats what i usually run when im not speeding or taking quick take offs.. as well thats only when i get lazy on getting gas too and wait till the light comes on... but i rarely do that cuz i know its bad:|
but yea.... i usually fill once i hit about 450... that leaves me a bit over empty and a lil under the quarter....;) |
good.. so my car is normal after all... ::yes::
|
I get about 320 miles if I do freeway driving only, like road trips. If I drive in the city, I get 250 miles to a tank.

thats about what i get |
James does it with an h22....
:eek: ::yes:: ;) |

BTW, GTA Pure Hydrocarbon is a good way to safely boost mileage
|
my ride sux for gas mileage. To a full tank (16gal) I get 260 miles at the most, no matter highway or city, drivin slow or fast. No matter. It sux.

Whoa! Time for a tune up? |
oh oh..
418km to 60l... thats almost like mine.. PArt of it is probably because of the system, and wider rims.. I dunno if you got any performance gear on?! that usually doesnt help for this either.. |

Nah, like y'all said b4, I throw plenty into the upkeep of my car too. I change everything from oil to sparx to fuel&air filters--makes ZER00000000000 difference. |
depending on how you drive it..
that mileage seems very reasonable to me. Plus your chrome wheelies must wheigh a ton.. |
Wow guys, I guess I'm just pretty lucky w/ my mileage. Plus I'm rollin' on stock wheels, but I tend to drive pretty agressively... Oh well, I'm not complaining. At least gas prices are finally starting to drop here.

u right, they're heavy as hell. But it got the same gas mileage with other rims too. |
really?!
I took mine off a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed a considerable difference.. |
I have 3 sets of rims- 2 sets r 17" chrome and 1 is 15" chrome. They all weigh in differently but same gas mileage. i think its just my driving or the car itself is just like that
|
ok..
but between stock rims and your mags they're should be a difference.. anyways... |
Just out of curiousity, do you know how much the stock rims weigh on an EX or an LX?
|
Quote:
umm?! You totally got me on that one.. Oh and the higher fuel consumption may is also because of the wider overall diameter of the mag/tire. |
UPDATE!!! I drove to GA this weekend, and my exact gas mileage for 265 highway miles was 11 gallons. Figure out that ratio, and you'll see how bad that is. Then just imagine the city mileage....RIDICULOUS
|
i get usually 23 mpg during the week city and highway driving
Last week i got 40 mpg going from cleveland to milwaukee |
That seems reasonable.
