what kind of car is it? are you talking about the seats "back"? cause there should be four 10mm bolts,.. two on each corner.

theres only 2 screws that keep that in only...

Ive got a crutchfield how to around somewhere. i had to remove the rear seats to get to the 6x9s in the back. when i find the page that has how to take em out ill scan it and post it up. its a lot easier than you think really...just a pain to put back

AWW crap...i just remembered i threw it out last week when cleaning out my car....dude i feel like an ass now. You can probably go to crutchfield.com and email them to send you a installation guide for your car. I promise it will tell you how to get the seats out. If not then go and buy a manual...

There is a single bolt (10mm?) about dead center behind the seat between the lower cushion and the upper back rest that folds down, but to see it requires a little oomph in pushing the cushions out of the way to explore. Get that out, then it takes a little more strength to push the rods (on either side of the front of the seat) towards the back and pull up. It's a pain in the ass by yourself, but if I can do it, anyone can!
