Have you ever had your system stolen?

So have you? If so, how many times? Did you ever recover the stolen goods? Or find how did it?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a different note, what measures have you taken to avoid your stuff from getting stolen?

I thank the Lord, for I have never been a victim of a thief.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for what i do to protect my car..

- I use an alarm (which is not that effective by itself!)

- I avoid parking in dark corners/areas. (usually i wait to get one of the front spots in front of the door!)

- If the place I'm going to is way too dangerous, then i just take my parents car which is 2000 Civic LX (stock of course!).

- I installed a light with motion sensor for my driveway.

- I keep a 2.5 foot iron bar next to the door (for when the alarm goes off at night.)

Thats too bad you guys got your systems stolen. My friend got his system stolen at school last year but he had it in plain view and was bumpin all the time. Thats why you have to hide it and keep it on the down low near where your gonna park.

Thats true. It'S a real good idea to not play your system too loud near the places where you will park often..

but its kinda hard to do.. Everybody wants to show their shit..

:D :D

i never have had my system jacked *knocks on wood*, my mom got her deck jacked once she was pissed about it.

The only stuff from my system you can see is the deck (which is a MASK anyway, the tweeters, and the Three.1. Stealth install is the best way to make sure no one goes after your system.

I've got a Clifford Cyber 9 alarm, and I use that as well as an Unbreakable Autolock (Not that great, but the best out there) when I leave my car parked downtown. I'm more worried about someone stealing my car in order to get my system, and if someone wants your car bad enough, they're going to get it. The best idea- full coverage insurance. I have a $20,000 policy on my insurance, as well as more pics of what's in it than you would know what to do with.

I'm still trying to get ahold of a car boot from local law enforcement.

The fist only so far (knock on wood) was right when i moved to phoenix. The first night there someone snatched 2 of my 4 12's but left the amps. They later came back about 6 months later and tool my deck and my air freshner (wtf??)

Accord Man 10-26-2001 04:45 PM

that sucks..

air freshner huh?!

Must be there trademark..

nope... a good ol 12 gauge does wonders;) to bad for that mess it makes though::no::

Phatblackcivic 11-21-2001 12:46 PM

One time! (So far) I parked my car around the dark side of the mall and they busted out the hatch window and being the first system I ever put together nothing was bolted down so voila! It was a fricken mess. Cops didn't care! Never got my stuff back and about 2 months later I was stupid and parked over there again and they busted out my rear quarter window and took my cd's!!! The ironic thing is that I had an alarm. The problem was that I only had one remote and I jumped in the pool with it that day so I couldn't arm it! Oh well now I have my honda with an Alpine alarm. I also park in a garage which helps alot. I also moved from that town. I park under lights and anywhere that gives my car high visibility. I also bolted the hell out of everything so they can't just slip it out. Keep my trunk locked up so they can't pop the trunk from the inside. That's about all you can do except hooking up electricity to everything and shocking the hell out of any asshole looking to score your goods! DEATH TO ALL CAR THIEVES! BURN IN HELL YOU ROTTEN SCUM OF THE EARTH!!!!!! Sorry had to vent....lol

Accord Man 11-22-2001 01:13 PM
