Car finally hit the body shop...
 

Here is phase one of the makeover.











I can't wait to get this car back. These guys have painted a few of my friends cars, including a nice Lexus that is show only and they do awesome work. Paint jobs look better then factory.

It's going to be BMW Stratus silver with a custom surprise pearl effect mixed in. I'll keep you guys posted.

I know, I'm stomping around in my VW right now until the sol is finished. They said about 2-3 weeks and I should have her back. It's also getting some 16" Rota Circuit 8's in bronze, no wing, smoothed door handles and antenna, molded 92-95 civic front lip, molded side skirts (buddy club) and a molded buddy club rear bumper.

Bastard...that car is going to look hella tite.....

I hope that picture werks for you....will it be like that color?

That will look real nice how much is it costing you for paint, the molding, etc.

Hey derek what are those rims?

The entire paint job, body work, etc.. is running me 1500$, but that's discounted down from 4000 because the guy who own's the body shop is about to be family-in-law...

that sol is sweet....love the rims....

My guess is that they are Motegi MR7's with a Honda Center cap...

Those aren't MR7's.. MR7's also have a small badge in one of the spokes. Those are sweet wheels though.

oh well haha I didn't look close enough...alls I know is they are super sick rims...i like em

some excel rims, i can look thru my catalogs and let you know what rims are those

They finished painting the door jams, underside of the trunk and top today. I took some pics. I'll post them later so you can get an idea of the color. I have to hit the store for some new AA's for my camera before I can upload the pics.

And last but not least. I decided at the last minute to ditch the BMW silver in favor of a darker deeper color. Here is a preview. Keep in mind that this is only one coat after the base coat. It also has no clear. You should see the color after it has been clearcoated, wetsanded and buffed. Wow..

Yeah dude....mean6's with the polished lip...I can't wait to put them on...but like you said...until the weather get's nice....they stay in my room, and my del sol stays in hybernation....*cough*under a tarp *cough*.:bandit: ;)

Yes, the weather sucks big time. These new Dunlop SP FM901s on my Jetta are aweful in the snow.

I hate everything that has to do with the snow...
