How much work is it, i have huge hands and im clumsy=/
|
My friend and I used to have these two hovercrafts......they would go in my pool and on grass. Very fun times.

The Micro RS4 comes in 2 flavors, RTR & Kit. RTR = Ready To Run. The Micro is electric only. The Type SS is Nitro only. |
man...are they really worth that much?...and do you build them...i might wanna buy one...gimme some details;)
|
how much does nitro cost or whatever?...thats the gas right?
|
Ill stop by my local hobby shop and check them out tonight... someone remind me to get my damn tabs i keep forgetting.. someone needs to kick me in the neck
|

I have a micro rs4 with micro electronics, carbon fiber chassis, upper deck, rear pod, and some mod motors. With decent batts, this thing really flies. Best micro car made IMHO.
|
Target carries those Modifier cars. I almost bought one this weekend but they were all out except for one green integra. I didnt want that one.
|
get a RC car. they are much more fun. ive gotten mine to about 55mph. its rather quick, and can take turns almost that fast.
|
Those little cars are real cool. I wonder if they have them at KB or Toys R us....
|

where can i buy one of these cars? |

Most r/c sedans can reach those speeds if geared for it. www.towerhobbies.com www.stormerhobbies.com |
those pages didn't help at all...if i was to buy a car, it would probably be rtr, because i'm not too skills at building stuff....
do they make any honda/acura cars that actually look like them...without the tires sticking out and stuff? I either want somethin like that, or something that can go on/off road... |

i kinda like this one
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LXKZ38&P=0 Could someone help me find a car that it fast, and doesn't break too easy? Edit: I also like this accord [url]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXCTM7&P=0[/url And i also like this Viper http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...m?Q=1&I=LZ2344 |

my 2 speed tranny did wonders for my to my top end. and i also got a kevlar pad and stainless steel vented disk brake, and some oil filled shocks. its a very fun hobby. |

... and addicting. My order history @ Towerhobbies goes well into the $2-3k range ... and I don't even get all of my parts from them. Mobbo, if you're serious about getting an R/C car/truck, make sure to research it well first. Are you looking to race or just to bash? |
Well, there's not many people around with rc cars...i don't really think anyone races...
So it'll probably be just for my fun and for showing off;) just somethin to do when i'm bored |
If you want on-road and off-road capabilities, get a stadium truck. For stadium trucks, I have a tricked out Nitro Rustler and an almost stock Losi xxx-t MF edition. The Losi would smoke it racing, but the Rustler stands up to more bashing abuse. I jump these both at full speed (35+ mph) and they survive pretty well.
If you want to mess around, a T-maxx would be fun to get. They just released a new version with a bigger motor, better suspension, etc. Not a bad deal and you can mod the hell out of them. For more Maxx info www.maxxtraxx.com |
yeah, i wish i got an off road one. sure its fun being faster than a real car upto 55-60mph, but unless you have a very good RC (mugen mt-12 is AWSOME) you cant handle very well, cause the steering just isnt the quality of it. the rs4's are about they same as mine, maybe a little better in some areas, maybe a little worse in others, but if you can find a mugen with the mt-12 engine... tell 12 second supras to watch out (seriosly)
is there a way to convert mine to a on/off road? theres a 1 mile long curvy dirt walking trail by my house that looks just like a mini rally course, and the ideas are in my head. |
ok...I want an off-road one i guess...there isn't too many smooth streets/surfaces where i live...
I trust you guys enough to just tell me which one would be best for me...I want something freakin fast...and durable...could one of you guys be so kind to tell me which cars would be best for me RTR |
Well, ready to run I wouldn't recommend the xxx-nt (nitro version) because it is assembled cheaply overseas and doesn't seem to be of the best quality. Are you looking at a nitro car for sure? How much are you willing to spend?
|
i'd get a kit. that was almost as much fun, if not more fun assembling it than actualy running it. and assembling it lets you know how to fix it when you break it. cause ive noticed theres 2 kinds of R/C's the ones that are the ones that have had a major crash breaking stuff on it, and the ones who havnt crashed yet.
|
That's the truth. My fuel tubing stuck my throttle servo wide open in my apartment complex a couple of years ago. My R/C hit a curb doing around 40ish and completely destroyed the front end.

And I'm terrible at building things...and i'm not good with motor/electrical stuff, so thats why i probably need a rtr. I''m looking at that maxxtraxx page right now, and I've decided i'd like to get a truck/SUV type thing. I probably won't be too rough on it...And if i find some other people who race, i might give it a go. |
Well, if you like the maxxes on that page, the new T-maxx will be coming out in a week or so.
http://www.towerhobbies.com/products...as/trac54.html That will be much improved over the old T, but I can't say how easy to tune the engine is because they are brand new. You'll need: Fuel (10%-20% Top Fuel from Traxxas) Application of the decals Fuel Bottle to fill tank 6 Cell Battery for Easy Starter Charger for 6 cell battery CA glue to attach tires to the rims I guess that comes out to over your $400 limit, but it would be worth it. Plan on catching the upgrade bug and dumping some more cash into it after you get it though :paranoid: I also recommend running 20% fuel for a little more power. If you have any other questions, ask away :) |
get a kit, they arnt that hard, and its sooo much fun. i was only gonna work on it for 2 or 3 hours anight, but once i started i couldnt stop building it that night till i finished it. therse very detailed instructions with it too
|
Kits aren't hard at all, but if he wants a Maxx, he doesn't have a choice  There are other 1/8th scale monster truck kits out there, but most are more expensive.
|
For get the TMaxx
http://www.hpiracing.com/kits/savage.htm Its coming out soon.... www.hpiracing.com |
hey CA, that savage looks pretty sweet, but 500 is probably too much for me, lol
I'll probably go with the t-maxx that 94accord showed me. So i have to buy the Fuel (20%) Application of the decals Fuel Bottle to fill tank 6 Cell Battery for Easy Starter Charger for 6 cell battery CA glue to attach tires to the rim Are all these things seperate? or what? And where can i find those things if they are seperate? |
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...T=1&I=TRAC54**
OK...i'm guessing everything that i'm gonna need is on that page. |

Yes and no. Get a really cheap charger (like the one on that page) and a cheap 6 cell (since all you'll be doing is running the ez-start system. I like pro-line CA glue, medium is probably good to start with. I think I have a Duratrax fuel bottle. Make sure to get 20% Traxxas top fuel IMO, not the 10% that was listed on that page. Now IMO, the T-maxx is the best for the money, and the new engine should do about 40mph. That should keep you busy for awhile ;) |
ok..so replace the 10% fuel with 20%, buy a few bottle( it doesn't come with one?)
And buy some glue to glue the wheels on right? |
And can i change out the body of it?...i wouldn't mind getting some interchangeable bodies if it was possible...gotta get new rims too;)
|
The fuel bottle you'd buy (for example: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LXD531&P=7 ) holds the fuel in smaller quantities and has a pour spout so you can put the fuel in the truck's tank.
Proline tire glue: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LXRD59&P=7 Note: There are cheaper glues, but I've had great luck with this one. Remember, if you do get the NEW T-maxx, it is due to come out soon, so its a first come, first serve basis. If you want something immediately, get the old one. I'd recommend waiting though. I have to go now, but if you have more questions (which you should), ask away. I can help you find more products if you need also. |
Alright, thanks
I am definetely gonna get the new one Thanks for all the info... And do you have any idea when it's coming out? |
I thought I read that it would come out at the very beginning of September, but I can't find where I read it. Should be fairly soon anyway, and a big backorder list will probably build up as it gets closer to release.

i'd also recommend a good glue, nothing sucks more than pulling a tire off a rim(from cornering too hard). its a pain, and can f*** up the suspension |
