i'm just saying not all camaros are slow.....you never know what your up agaisnt, yeah thos v6 3800's are slow as balls, but some f-bodies, will suprise you, my car looks pretty stock, auctally, unless you look inside, or under the hood, or at the 295 rear tires, you'd think its a normal car, but its alittle bit faster, nice kill tho!

stock v6 Birds/camaros have 135HP.. not very much, in fact its exactly the same HP as my honda accord. the accord is slightly faster than my bird because of weight ratio. also thirdgen camaros are older cars so they also loose horsepower as they rack up the miles on the engine

3.8L OHV SEFI V-6

HP- 193 @ 5500rpm
TQ- 225 @ 2800rpm

depends on what year mustang it is... like the firebird and camaro v6's with 135HP are thirdgens (80's)... like in my sig. And a 1989 Trans am has 170 stock HP wich is a V8 i got this car too but its not pretty

a newer mustang v6 has around 193HP

a thirdgen 1986 mustang v6 has 120, the 8 cyl has 200 . it varies from year to year

Why is everyone so surprised they stopped making the Camaro? It's actually a smart move on GM's part. They are gonna get everyone to miss it and come back out with it again in 04-05. Although, when it comes back out, it will be more of the older design. It will be more boxy like the old ones but not sure on power or engines for it yet. My cousin works for GM.

hehe, I actually own an import. It was just funny because I also own a Camaro. Who said it was a Z though? Trust me, it won't lose to an import. The mod list is by far, longer than FAST97WS6's although his car sounds pretty pimp.

For cornering. A stock 69 Camaro would DESTROY the new SS in a straight line but the SS would destroy the 69 in a road course.

actually no do some research and youll find that those cars were prone to spinning tire and destined to never break outta the 13 second range (most in the 14's stock) regarless of model/ engine type.

its not about the driver he used a metaphorical instance as in 2 race car drivers doing the best of your potential, and the ls1 has got every single catagory of advantage plus can catch traction, dont get me wrong i LOVE OLD CARS, but they were usually nothing major stock i think only a hanfew did 12's all were high 13's, if you put a set of slicks on a STOCK even 302 boss mustang youll drop like 1 second offa 1/4 mile, but all old cars are usual geared and dont top out anywhere near the ls1's potential top speed.
