hell yes! if a girl asked me this... she would be something specail, wouldn't let her get away thats for sure.

btw when i find a girl that doesn't mind my racing, ill know shes the one! the girls i've taken for a spin think that its dangerous and that their lives are at risk. The way i look at its, think i'm gonna knowingly damage my car ha, so their safe and so am i.

LadyCivic 06-13-2002 11:40 AM

Ok heres the deal, I would totally dig a guy if he drove a really nice import, did all his work on it himself, and then for fun we went street racing and totally stomped on some gay ass sunfire or mustang, and then after we do that, he could take me out for ice cream. Total husband material. Any girl who can't appreciate a nice ride and recognize that all domestic cars are for Grandma's who don't know any better, (even thought my Grandma dives a Civic) isn't worth calling for a second date, that is if you wasted your time on a first!! Trust me, there ARE girls out there who know better, and better yet, there are girls I'm sure with sweet cars that would like to take YOU street racing..... And yes I've asked my boyfriend to come and wash my car with me for something to do, I think i enjoy it more than he does, we spent four days straight working on my car together.

i'm packed already, got some money, mags (long drive ya know) pair of boxers and a shirt (got food stains on the one i'm wearing)

*car starts, vroom vroom, and the sound of screaming tires*

I'll be at your place in 5!

mt.biker 06-14-2002 07:32 AM

just out of interest on my part do you girls think less of a guy who takes you out for coffee just to get to know you better?

cause honestly thats how most of my relationships started off, i just wanted to talk with her for a bit to get to know more about her before i put down the money for a night.

so i hope i'm not way off base here, but (back on topic) its nothing fancy but does let the two of you talk a bit.;)

DsBlu01CivEX 06-14-2002 05:43 PM

Talking is good....I really wouldnt like it if a guy took me for coffee...well cuz I don't like coffee. but if he took me to dairy queen or somewhere like that then I'd be all about that. Hmm...a guy that would ask me to help him clean his car and buy me ice cream. *hopes he's tall!!*

LadyCivic 06-14-2002 11:01 PM

yes, I totally agree on the helping him clean his car, and the ice cream part. I mean is there a girl out there who doesn't like ice cream???? Yes I agree, coffee sucks, it's for old poeple to go on a date..... Anyway, I think all us girls here on this thread agree, he's gotta have a car that's equal to ours or better, and he's gotta be tall, and then we'll provide the balls if you don't have any and we'll take YOU street racing!! Ha ha, I hope you know where the 'holy shit' handle is!! ( or we'll just ask you to come help US wash our car....);)

i need to meet girls like you

i'm tall, a nice guy and i have a nice car. grrr but the girls i seem to bump into..... im not gonna get started on this again!

civic_north 06-16-2002 02:30 PM

LadyCivic,

If you have any friends that think like you.......send them to the T.O way for us........

mt.biker I hear ya on the getting started thing

DsBlu01CivEX 06-16-2002 04:12 PM

yah well the guys I bump into aren't much better. One of the last guys I met back in May was cool. He told me he was 19 (and I'm ok with the whole bein a lil younger thing)...then like not even a week later he tells me that he lied about something to me. And he was like I'm not as old as I said I was. He was like take about a yr off that. Meaning he was 17 at the time. Now I don't give the guy the time of day...not cuz he's that much younger than me...but because he lied to me. And he did look older. Guys always do. I thought a guy was like 23 once and he ended up bein 33. goodness!!

LadyCivic 06-16-2002 08:30 PM

Awwww, don't worry, my boyfriend tells me everday how lucky he is because he knows that the female species is a rare thing to find in a cool person. I'm surprised the female market isn't a little nicer there in T.O? Hey I'm from a crappy city and I don't think sunfires and cavaliers are cool. There's gotta be something out there for you.....:mad:

LadyCivic 06-16-2002 08:41 PM

Ok I tried to post a picture of me as well so you could see that I'm not 400lbs, but it didn't work..... so me try again....and yes this is what I really look like......

you a model?

Whiteclipse99 06-16-2002 09:03 PM

Sure a guy with a nice car is a definite bonus, but I'm not gonna diss the guy because his ride isn't up to par. And Rob, about the whole coffee thing....I think that's a good idea because it allows you to get to know eachother. I'm not a coffee girl, so like Denise mentioned, Dairy Queen is a good choice for me! yummy!

Thanks for the compliment , guys!! I hope you find cool chicks in T.O? I swear I'm one of the only girls I know here that dig cars.

Yeah, I do a bit a modelling, but nothing really serious. I am in agreement with the ice cream and not the coffee, because I work at a coffee shop, and I would not want to be taken on a date there, there are too many crazy people!!! And , yes I would dis a guy who pulled up at my house in a sunfire, I would only ride in his car with a paper bag over mt head. It's sooooooo nice to finally have a bo with a faster car than mine......:D

juvenile 06-17-2002 07:46 PM

What else is your boyfriend fast at? ;)
jfwy

LadyCivic 06-17-2002 07:52 PM

What's that supposed to mean?? Yes he's very fast....... wouldn't you like to know!!!

mt.biker 06-17-2002 09:12 PM

(back on topic)

i think its just hard to meet someone whos interested in the similar things. When you think abuot it wheres a good place to meet a nice girl (or a nice guy if your a girl)? see theres no place to meet a nice person and know that they are nice when you meet them. I figured i'd meet a good girl in highschool, well ive said F*ck highschool girls, gonna go after the bigger fish in the sea.

I meet alot of people at work and have yet to meet someone who rides a bike alot and whos also a *****. So i'm hopping i'm gonna meet my girl that way. If she likes riding a bike shes got alot in common and it would make for an interesting first date, riding together that is. (just thought of that on the fly there) I'd love to take a girl for a bike ride oh oh and then off to DQ for a treat :) (i'm learning girls)

add this to the list of first dates: a bike ride :)

I agree. The places I like to go (dance clubs, bars, I don't go to too many bars) aren't exactly the places I like to find Mr. Right. You can never tell what kind of guy he is, and I automatically assume that if he's at a dance club or bar, he's there to see how many chicks he can get with. Now that may not be the case, cause I know I'm not there to see how many guys I can get with, but it's hard to tell if he's a decent guy.

LadyCivic 06-18-2002 08:41 PM

Hey I totally second the motion of NOT picking up people in bars and etc, because their usually hammered and are only out to score. I met my BF through a friend, essentially, and any other men that I've dated I have met doing things that interest me. I think bike riding is an excellent idea, for a date, but maybe something a little more talkative would be a better idea. Hey, you could talk while you two have a break getting ice cream.... yes yes, we all know about the ice cream!!! Boys, why not try to meet girls by going to places where girls chill out?? Go get a manicure at a salon or something and I bet there will be tons of girls there, actually pretty impressed you're concerned about your nailbeds after all that crap you put them through working on the car!!;)

Whiteclipse99 06-18-2002 10:19 PM

Anything active like biking, roller blading, ect. are cool ideas for first dates. Ok, so now I have a whole bunch of awesome ideas for a first date....now there's just one thing missing.....a guy to go on a date with!

LadyCivic 06-19-2002 07:26 PM

Good luck finding a nice boy, they're rare! I think something a little less strenuous would be better if you were asking someone on a date that you barely knew. Something that almost anyone would enjoy just to be safe, and make sure that everyone has a good time. Good luck taking someone to a race track if they hate cars!! Something neutral is best, and something that encourages conversation. Why not go and have you r tea leaves read, go on a hot air balloon ride, or go to a local play or event around town?

DsBlu01CivEX 06-20-2002 01:52 PM

Diggin the hot air balloon ride  that would be awesome. but the one thing I think is cool for a first date is to have like a day long date and split it in 2. Like if he's a very active outdoorsy type person, then the first part of the date he can take you to do something that he loves to do. and then the second part of the date you can show him something that you love to do. Granted you might go into the date thinking "UGH I really don't want to _____ but hey he seems like a cool guy, I'll give it a try" And then you end up loving (or totally hating) what he showed you were his passions. It's good to share that stuff and try to get one another interested in it. If it doesn't work out that you or he likes what the other does but a relationship is persued anyway, then either person would still have an outlet to just get away and do what only they love when they need time away from their significant other.

Thats an amazing idea, i would recommend making this the second date though as getting to know the person well enough to want to spend half a day with them is a must.

One problem where do you find a girl that likes the outdoors as much as i do without getting a guy in a chicks body?

100% agreed.. I am so tired of those standard first dates. People need to get more creative cuz it just gets lame, and dont ask me for an example cuz I can't come up with one yet! ;)

DsBlu01CivEX 06-21-2002 06:56 PM

a trip to Las Vegas...and if you are 25+ rent the car that is in Julie's sig. NOW THAT'S A HOT ASS FIRST DATE!!!!!!

LadyCivic 06-24-2002 05:12 PM

Seriously, if a guy has the qualities that I find appealing, he could take me anywhere, even to a park for a picnic and it would be just as awsome as anything else.

toykilla 07-04-2002 01:37 PM

I actually found a girl at a pool hall a couple days ago. SHE LOVES CARS which is amazing. Never met someone that loves cars as much as I do. I think I might keep this girl for a while, (hopfully).

LadyCivic 07-04-2002 10:06 PM

good luck bro!! I hope she turns out ok!!

DsBlu01CivEX 07-05-2002 02:59 PM

woo hoo go Rob!! ;)

toykilla 07-08-2002 12:36 AM

yea, its about damn time. the funny thing is that my ex called 3 days after i met her and told me she wanted to see me at 2am. why would she want to see me at 2am???? i was strong and told her to **** off in semi nicer words. shes actually the first girl ive even touched in almost 6 months. damn it feels good, beats looking at my ugly ass friends all day. woOt for me. you still going to vette week denise? i went with a friend to ford crap week so im making him come with me to show him what a real car looks like. and oct 19 they having import show down in petersburg if anyones going to that. im gonna go but i doubt we will be aloud back in the same hotel.
