Paint job is done! I love it! It's just the way I wanted it to be..... not too "eye catching". It's just an Electric Green Mustang color. The car got really dusty (from pollen) on this picture cuz it sat for a few hours outside while waiting for the to truck.

thermal 04-21-2005 06:24 PM

another dusty picture. i will take better pics once I get the motor in and wax job....

JDMFantasy2k 04-21-2005 11:37 PM

holy fuck dude. What are your HP goals/estimates?

thermal 04-22-2005 05:41 AM

The motor is capable of 800 whp. But I'm not gonna take it that high. I still want this car somewhat streetable. I expect to at least hit 550 on 20-24 psi dyno tuned....

JDMFantasy2k 04-22-2005 09:13 AM

on C16 i assume

thermal 04-22-2005 08:47 PM

Yeah... or 420-450 93 octane

esthirteen 04-22-2005 11:46 PM

damn man, looking real good.

did that charcoal wrap make you itch like crazy? lol. cause my friend just wrapped his header on his h22 and it made him itch all over. then we started it up and the shit smokes for awhile.

thermal 04-23-2005 05:55 AM

Thanks:cool:

ChrisCantSkate 04-23-2005 10:21 AM

damn... thats all i can say.your gonna need to get sound/video clips or something once its tuned.. or while dynoing it.

JDMFantasy2k 04-23-2005 04:32 PM

+1

Mischief 04-23-2005 09:43 PM

I'll trade you Integras :D BTW I have a question, is there a difference between the GS and LS Integras? Does one version just get the "luxury" items (spoiler and rims, I think that's it) and the other doesn't?

not too sure about that mang. Hondamaniac and Pdiggs can answer that question better than me. I just know that B18A and B18B bottom block is the same.

I'll have a short video done if I find somebody local to lend me a digi cam

pdiggitydogg 04-23-2005 10:32 PM

GS had tinted glass and rear spoiler, came available in cayenne red (only that, clover and silver), and had leather (maybe optioned) - LS came in a multitude of colors. There could be some other things...none are important imo
Other than that, the engine is identical (b18b1)

when you say the GS came with that do you mean it was standard, and optional for the LS? because mine came with a rear spoiler.. though it's possible the previous owner put it on himself, seeing how I have a brake light in my rear window as well

dabouncerx24 04-24-2005 01:11 AM

Yes, GS come with the spoilers standard. All 94-01 LS do not come with the spoiler, its not even an option...I think all Integra coupes have that rear brake light..

Back to the build....

I finally got the tranny rebuilt by my tuner. he integrated an upgraded/coated/stronger 3rd, 4th, 5th gear with the same gear ratio. Good stuff from Gear Speed. I painted the housing to match the motor paint:

I made my own catch can from some left over 3 inch piping. I also incorporated a dipstick from an old motor I had laying around:.

thermal 05-10-2005 08:03 PM

I have about 98% of the parts to get the motor running. The only problem now is that I'm going to be out to sea... navy stuff.... for 3 weeks. Once I get back, I will drop the motor in and refabricate a few charge pipes and mate my DP and exhaust system.

Mischief 05-10-2005 08:03 PM

that's a big fking catch can jesus

thermal 05-10-2005 08:04 PM

lol.... not really man. The GReddy catch cans are wayyy bigger...:o

ShEaNy 05-12-2005 02:27 PM

looking good man...

Mischief 05-12-2005 09:45 PM

well from the catch can I saw on the guy that lives up the street on me.. he has a SRT4 and is alot smaller than that.. and my cousin's GST has an even smaller one..

BlackEJ 05-15-2005 02:09 PM

damn arnel good looking tranny you got there mang, nice work on that catch tank.
Hey bro holla @ ur boy!!!!!!:bandit:

thermal 05-16-2005 09:37 PM

Yep. Just about too big to be used anywhere. I found that out the hard way on the Eclipse....

Nice job on the catch can.

thermal 05-27-2005 11:05 AM

Yeah, the only aftermarket one I would buy is the Moroso version...

Mischief 05-27-2005 04:45 PM

therm when you getting home so we can see the finished product?

thermal 05-28-2005 06:50 AM

I'll be back early June. Then the install begins. I still have to put my braking system together also.....

BlackEJ 05-28-2005 08:46 AM

Hey bro so what are you using for stoppers with this new set up?
Spoon, Brembo, wilwood maybe!!!!!

thermal 05-29-2005 04:59 PM

I'm not gonna upgrade the calipers yet. I'm looking at a set of Rotora xdrilled/slotted or Brembo xdrilled. The pads are barely used. I'm also thinking about redoing the whole brake hydraulic system..... redo all the tubing cuz the stock looks like a big clustrofuk.....:o

thermal 06-05-2005 06:51 PM

I have a feeling that I will be switching to AEM EMS. Just really depends on what my contact wants to do........

Finally had time to drop the motor in:

thermal 06-12-2005 09:22 PM

I dropped the motor in within 2 hours. I installed the.clutch/FW/tranny myself and a friend helped a little bit.

The only problem now is that it looks like I will have to refab to reposition my old piping to compensate for a bigger turbo and intake manifold. Too bad that i also have to redo my down pipe again cuz I overlooked the clutch slave cylinder bleed valve being on the way. It's okay tho. It shouldnt take me too long to redo the DP.

Gonna get the motor started sometime during the week......

AkimboStylee 06-12-2005 09:43 PM

looks good

JDMFantasy2k 06-12-2005 09:52 PM

that motor makes me wet:yes:

Sivik 06-12-2005 11:29 PM

excellent work

thermal 06-13-2005 03:32 PM

Gonna continue Tuesday. I should be able to complete all the piping by night time.......

Mischief 06-13-2005 04:55 PM

I'm jealous... If you're ever looking to trade that in for a stock LS let me know, I have a deal lined up for you ;)

thermal 06-14-2005 09:13 PM

I also relocated the radiator bottom support and had it positioned to as far to the left as possible

Mischief 06-14-2005 09:48 PM

you should order a JDM front end while it's all apart like it is ;) just kidding, sexy as ever.. I can't wait till you get it on the dyno

pdiggitydogg 06-16-2005 05:34 PM

Not putting a cover on the cam gears??

GT40FIED 06-16-2005 06:59 PM

Damn Arnel...bad ass pics. Do you mind if I just dry hump your car for a while?

thermal 06-16-2005 08:15 PM

Pat,
Nope, I will not be putting a cover on the cam gears. I wanted to, but my timing is already half a tooth off as it is since the head was milled. My tuner also told me to leave it open since he will be messing around with the cam gear timing......

Steve,
Go on right ahead bro...... lol
