LOL... hell yeah man. I'm getting it dyno tuned with Hondata. My tuner is the one of the best Hondata tuner in U.S. He owned the second ever Hondata system. So he has been tuning for a while.

IALuder 03-25-2004 10:33 PM

how much did you pay for your hondata system? i want one after i get turboed.

ha you drove with it striahgt header. nice. i have been drivin like that forever. hondaman still needs to send me my exhaust.

thermal 03-25-2004 10:41 PM

Hondata with boost option (S200b) cost me $475. Base B18C turbo map is another $60 but credited for my dyno time

well, basically my turbine is exposed. No pipe. I drove it like that. It's loud as hell......

MAXed Out 03-26-2004 08:44 AM

Nice so it moves huh! What do u think ull pull on the charts?

Mirkwo0dForest 03-26-2004 03:06 PM

IALuder 03-26-2004 03:48 PM

i want to see some track times and dyno sheets.

thermal 03-26-2004 04:14 PM

You will.... early next week...

thermal 03-28-2004 12:01 AM

....Found the problem why my car would jump to 9000 RPM...... see, this is why I dont need people's help sometimes.

Anyway, spearco intercooler usually comes with plastic end plugs/caps for the in/outlet pipe. Whoever installed my outlet piping forgot to remove the plastic cap and just slap the piping and connectors on. I had this awkwward feeling all day that it was that fucking plastic.... and so it was. The bitch was stuck on my TB. It's too late at night to run the Teg. I will do it tommorow. All I can say is that, it really doesnt matter now. I found the problem and that is all i care about....

KwikR6 03-28-2004 12:03 AM

Good to hear dude.
I would hope that nothing blew up or anything hahah...

4g63t 03-28-2004 12:32 AM

OMG dude. It's funny that it made it up that far though. Glad you figured it out though!

Sivik 03-28-2004 03:44 PM

that is why i like doing everything myself. i know what happens and if anything does mess... i just yell at myself. ;)

thermal 03-28-2004 08:14 PM

I just dropped off the car to get the DP made. Will pick it up tomorrow and dyno tune the next day. Wish me luck ...... pics to come!

4g63t 04-03-2004 10:52 PM

Very Very nice.....i'm proud of a honda for once. Was that with full exhaust, or just downpipe?

thermal 04-03-2004 11:12 PM

lol.... just DP. I still need a 3" exhaust system. I found one already but this dyno money got me.... I'll be off the street for now. It's time to clean my car inside and out.

Here are the pix:

IALuder 04-03-2004 11:36 PM

Sivik 04-04-2004 03:24 AM

hows the Tial BOV sound? any chance of makin a clip?

thermal 04-04-2004 08:03 AM

I dont have the equipment to make a sound clip. It's not high pitch like the TypeS. It sounds like a big shooosh... I like it

ebpda9 04-04-2004 10:21 AM

i can't wait to get started on mine too. i am sick of the tire melting 125hp on the accord

C's 94 InTeGrA 04-04-2004 03:45 PM

wow.... very nice.. congrads on all u did. I fogured u would get over 300 easily. Theres a guy on teamintegra that hit over 400 somethin horse and then like 400 somethin feet of tourque. ITs just plain amazing.

4g63t 04-04-2004 04:29 PM

Dude, your entire car looks so nice. I've always liked the way the tegs looked over the civics....just where i live they are look like sh*t. I would definetely drive that.

KwikR6 04-04-2004 06:58 PM

WOW
once again
Simply WOW!
Great job dude!

MAXed Out 04-04-2004 10:44 PM

Nice job thermal. I'm speechless.

thermal 04-04-2004 11:09 PM

Thanks everyone! The best part was, even my tuner was suprised! He owned the second ever Hondata and has been tuning Hondatas since then. Before we started, he said that I should be around 240-250. I think he said that so i dont get my hopes up. Towards the end, he said that he can push it even more since it was still making power. Review my dyno sheet and the power curve was still going up. He said he can take it up to 320 whp but we both agreed that even with the best tuning and optimum A/F and spark combo, the internals may still give up. I'm extremely satisfied tho.......

ebpda9 04-04-2004 11:20 PM

what kind of gear head are you if you still let hidden power inside the engine ? jfwy

KwikR6 04-04-2004 11:23 PM

A smart one
B series engines aren't cheap to replace

sohc_vtec 2NR 04-05-2004 10:55 PM

i'm sooo f*cken jealous right now... mad props pare! there's nothing more exciting than driving a boosted car! i love my turboD16!

thermal 04-06-2004 02:10 AM

LOL....... I dont want to blow my shit up Stef. Let me enjoy this boosted stock R internals for a while. After, your company sponsors me, then I will go ahead turn the boost up to 15psi...lol

Nice man...I know it's probably a blast to drive.

thermal 04-09-2004 09:11 PM

Right now, the Teg is too loud since I dont have an exhaust. Other than that, I have no complaints....

2000Pimpinex 04-12-2004 06:58 PM

Those are some nice numbers. Congrats on the dyno.

Sivik 04-18-2004 06:22 PM

you'll definitely be happy with the thermal....thermal...hahahaha  :D

thermal 04-23-2004 11:38 PM

Installed the thermal 3" today......... fucking awesome! It probably eliminated about 100 decibels or more. I didnt think it would drop that much noise. My teg now sounds like my civic since I do have a thermal system in the civic too.... but not 3" tho. I'm running full flow with no cat. I used a 3" flex pipe in lace of the cat... lol. Gosh driving the teg is so much fun now. I can hear my radio and CEL phone ringing....ha ha ha...

New pics:
Here's the dump tube that I fabricated. I also wrapped it with a thermal insulation...

This is how it looks now:

I'll post pics of the thermal 3" exhaust later....
