how can you not like SUV's ??????

How can I not like SUV's???

reason 1: they are a huge visual obstruction. I can't make left turns in intersection when there is another one opposite me.

reason 2: 90% of the people who drive them are morons. Usually dumb soccer moms, but thats a whole other issue.

reason 3: People are under the misconception that they are immune to bad weather. They go extremly fast in rain and snow, and think they can stop on a dime. wrong....

reason 4: they are ugly as crap

reason 5: they eat gas unnecessarily

reason 6: 90% of people that own one don't need them. How many times have you seen an suv with one person in it? I know people that have them because they want that "feeling of security". Learn to drive and you won't be so scared.

reason 7: much like reason 6, selfishness. If you get into an accident, you want the other person to sustain damage that you won't feel in your Land Destroyer. LEARN TO DRIVE.

I'm sure there are many others, I just cant think of them right now.

BTW: To those of you that actually use an SUV for what it is intended for and are responsible drivers, more power to you.

Yah i meant no harm in my mustang comment...I personally like the older mustangs...like the ones when the stang orignally came out. I'm a classic car kind of girl like that. Just stating my opinion....I know most people don't like the look of my car either...

But back to bumper stickers...I hate them...not only do they take away from the car but then people like me like to read them. Sure I think they are funny and everything but I'm the kind of person that will get on someone's ass to read the bumper sticker. which could potentially cause an accident since I'm not really paying attention to their brake lights but what is on their bumper. Irresponsible driving on my part, but if they wouldn't have those stickers there i wouldn't be tempted to read them dam it! That and I hate all the political ones...I don't really care who you voted for in what year....and a lot of them are offensive to me....

i 100% agree here. SUV's scare me. parents think its a good idea to give their kid one for a first car cause WHEN he wrecks it, he's safe, but the person you hit with that 4000lb peice of scrap metal could die cause a inexperienced driver is operating a huge machinery. same reason you need a truck drivers licence, you can do some damage with a giant vehical. navigators, escalades, ml320's, lx430's, excursions.... get those damn things in a wrecker. they will never see mud, and arnt even designed to go off road. they are a waist on the economy, and on gas. they over pollute. if you actualy bought a SUV to haul stuff around, they i dont have a problem with that, but people will never put lumber, paint, grills, dirt, anything like that in their $50-80k SUV. if your buying a suv for that much and it dosnt say HUMMER on the back , you got jipped. they are the only purpose built SUV on the market anymore

another thing, hummers look better the dirtyer and more scraches they get on them. if you can bend the brush gaurd more power to you! if you can actualy break it, your the man.

hey you forgot the excursion. now that's a huge ass suv. even at 20 mph a t-bone with my car will send me to the other world. :o

I don't have as much of a problem with pickups. Usually because the people who buy them are NOT soccer moms and/or yuppies. I don't like these new "pickups" though **cough**AVALANCHE**cough**

That stuff is so damn funny.

SUVs suck, although I admit they have a place. Unfortunately people buy them because they "need" them to haul things around. And sure, that one time a year they go to Home Depot and buy a 2x4 to fix their deck, they need it. But other than that, my Accord carries just as many groceries as anybody would need to fit in any vehicle. My car handles better, gets better fuel economy, costs less, looks better, and is less of a nuissance to the world than any SUV. There isn't even much S or U in a SUV, it's just a lotta V.

There are some people who actually need SUVs, that is why they were originally created in the first place. I can remember the days where 9 out of 10 Suburbans I'd see on the street were yellow and belonged to road crews.

okay now, no doggin on the SUV's. i have an 03 Honda Pilot and it rides like a cadillac. sometimes (just sometimes okay), i just want to drive around "at ease" instead of bouncing like a ball that it caused by a coilover.

i know a guy here that has this nice DSM on the back of it he had "gone V8 huntin........ be back in 12 seconds
