seriously....thank you

I couldn't agree more. It's nice to see a muscle car enthusiast that actually listens to what we have to say instead of bragging about displacement and torque...

ive posted this before, and ill post it again. everyone says accords are sooo heavy. and they're right if they're talking about the newest ones. but my 94 (94-97) weighs 2,800 pounds. ive had it less than that with the spare and seats out. i know because ive weighed it at a truck weigh station near my house.
when nearly all new cars are over 3000 pounds, i wouldnt call the accord rreeally heavy.

yeah the weight is about right. the preludes are a bit heavier ~100-150lbs

Well yesterday marked the end of my engine rebuild. I decided to tear it apart again to throw in Arias forged low compression pistons. I can't believe it fired right up as soon as I was done putting it back together. Blew a little smoke at first but I figured it was just leaked down oil on the cylinder walls from pulling and installing pistons. Now the break in process.

If you remember I put total seal rings and a thicker head gasket a few weeks ago, then pulled it apart again. Hopefully this time it's bulletproof. Intercooler should be here Friday and VAFC should arrive today. :D

so those total seal rings are good ? i was thinking about using them with arias higher compression pistons and a copper head gasket

The total seal rings are awesome. I installed the Xtreme gapless rings. They are file to fit so make sure you know what you are doing. The arias pistons were a great fit. I went low comp because of the turbo. If you want to up your compression try getting the head machined down. Then run a high performance head gasket to make sure everything stands up. I can't wait to figure out what the compression is on my car. Low comp pistons, 2mm headgasket etc...

By read this, his base hp should be 125 no 95.
Doesn't that car have a B16? The same as a Civic Si? (now I'm still new to this whole engine code thing so I'm learning)

Kinda wierd how Honda did this one.
The del Sol Si is the SOHC VTEC engine (D Series) - 125hp
The del Sol VTEC is the DOHC engine (B16A) - 160hp

but, i didn't think the 160hp del sol was ever offered in the states. i thought it was offered in Europe and Japan as the del sol si-r. i thought i had this all figured out....oh well.

same thing they did with the preldue
s-single cam
si-dohc non-vtec(h23)
vtec-dohc vtec(h22)

sounds like a nice setup you got there, hoestly you can build the sohc and make it faster than the dohc, but if you started with the dohc, you'd be even faster... like a b18b in that would be MEAN!

The SI-R was offered in Japan as a 170hp B16

In the US

The Del Sol S = 1.5 SOHC Non Vtec
Del Sol SI = 1.6 SOHC Vtec
Del Sol Vtec = 160hp B16 DOHC Vtec
