Hey guys, new here. I have a 91 civic HB. Was at the junk yard today and found a 91 integra (some light side damage) with a B18A1 in it. I can get the whole car for $700. The engine has 200k on it, perfect interior (not one thing taken out of it),but the guy is gonna get it cranked for me so i can hear it run. Now, if it runs good, what do ya think. Is the car worth $700? I figure, if it runs good ill go for it, if not ill rebuild it and go from there and part out the rest of the car. Oh, and also, who else has done the swap? Got any tips for me

I got a 91 Integra...for $1200 with 120k miles. I like it a lot. So for $700...put in a new engine. I don't have any swaps myself yet. I was thinkin ls/VTEC...but I am not sure

Why's that? People buy salvaged cars all the time.

for parts...
where i live, its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to re-register a car after its been salvaged. the best you get is "repaired"
just giving a heads up- not sayign its impossible

Still, I'd say buy it and put the teg in your backyard and strip it. Take that engine and rebuild it, and swap it in your hatch. If the seats are good take those too. Part out the rest of it on the internet. 700 sounds like a real good deal.

That is what I would do. Actually, that is what I am planning on doing. I just need to find an Ls with low enough miles on it. You don't want to mess with salvaged titles, trust me. Just buy it and keep the engine, tranny, axles, ecu, etc. All you need for a swap and part the rest out on the internet.
