Anyone have any advice on what rear section they think is the best for the money?

Thanks in advance,

Jon

none just get a full catback...youre still going to be restricted by the pipe that comes right after the cat so youre not going to be gaining much. you could get a rear section (Tenzo's decent) and then get a custom pipe from midas/mineke to fill the gap too.

I'm just looking for good sound and I was told that a rear section is very easily installed but I wouldn't be able to install anything else myself. Is this true?

The difference in a catback and a rear section is pretty much the showroom quality and the price. A catback will not give you all that power that it advertises, so if you are on a tight budget then I wouldn't get that. Rear sections are good if you are on a tight budget.......seriously though...if you told someone that you do have a catback, do you think they are going to crawl under your car to see if you have a mid-section pipe. Rear sections are very easy to install. I installed mine in like 10-15 minutes, and I have dual mufflers now...and you don't lose all that backpressure stuff like people say. I felt gains in acceleration at higher speeds and RPM's, but no loss in low to mid gains. Go either way you want man, cause it's your car.

I appreciate your help, I'm on a tight budget and I'm gonna go with the rear section because I'm not a mechanic...Hopefully it'll be easy for me to put on. Thanks for the help!

By the way...Are the Ractive rear sections any good?

I don't recommend Ractive exhausts. Go to ebay and look for some axle backs, and other rear sections. They don't have a bad selection there. You can find n-1 canisters, dragger style exhausts, dual mufflers...about everything.
Catbacks are not hard to put on either...about as easy as a rear section really...just a bunch of spring bolts. Hope that helps.
