Ok, now that I'm addicted to filming, I'm debuting my next film release. I'm actually going to try and do this a bit proffesional.
What I'm thinking about doing is a documentary of the race scene in T.O. Going to the local races, and meets and filming select cars. In the process also doing interviews with some people who are there. I want to make this big, and my only couple of problems are that I'm still not that good at recording, meaning my arm shakes a bit, and how will I go from scene to scene of each car. So far, every "tuned" car that I see I press record, do a circle around it, and then pause. I also **** around with zoom in zoom out, so sometimes it gets blurry. I want this to be as proffesional as possible.

Any ideas HOW I should film this? I mean, just short clips that end and the next one starts, with music in the background during that, and then during interviews, there is no music.
Would this be a cool video to watch? Is anyone interested? I sure as hell am because I'm beginning to love this! But if no one is interested, and I get no help from anyone at all, it'll be a little stupid and hard to do.

Any suggestions welcome!

P.S I forgot to mention I want to do it in a somewhat documentary style!

Id love to see it... go to supraforums and find redline and redline2... turbodreams, and some others, to get an idea of what you can do... one suggestion, if you decide to have chicks in the film, dont overdo it because sometimes a nice video will turn skanky with too many hoes in it:no:

LOL yeah...chics... I first have to get those chics in the film ;) haha
Well, in ricer central (Collosas for those T.O people on here), there are lots of 15-18 year old spanish/italian chics. LOL I'll see what I can do with that ;)
I never thought of that though so thanks, and yeah I won't over do it!

ya when ur filming the cars...go around them a bit quciker and get more cars in....i understand ur filming ur one car and it seemed a tad long and slow...going between fast scenes..short clips..etc......and longer scenes....maybe a race....is a good combo..one after the other....and for ur camera shake...two hands.....left and right side clamping it tight....and right against ur chest....IF u can do that for most of ur shots...does the camera have a screen? or is it old school?

there should be a fade in and out feature on your camera that would be the best way to end it. If you've never made a movie before it typically starts with a story board. if you want something professionaly your going to have to get your concept down on paper first otherwise its going to look crap.

one problem. how are you going to get to these places? seems to me someone isn't driving anymore.

if u need adobe premiere let me know. you can have all kinds of effects, and editing features. i used it before but not too much because i didn't own a digicamcorder.

Thanks for the advice. With fade in, fade out, yeah I have that, I'm still learnign stuff about the camera! :) Putting everything on paper sounds good! Thanks.

I still have insurance on my dad's van. I can use it after he's back from work on Friday's and then on the weekend. I just have to work out a schedule with my dad.

And Stephan, I'll see if I need it. I can get most software myself :) Thanks though.

yeah fading, women those are all good, but i think it would look cool with the quick clips of cars kinda like a slideshow, with some good rock/alternative music, then add the interviews, etc. followed by more clips i like that setup, there was actually a little movie on here last week that was setup nicely.
