Well my folks bought one like 4 months ago, and it was packed away until now. Today I went out, got a FireWire card, with software and cable. Connected the camera, charged it, and did a test shoot.
Let me tell you its amazing!! I now can record stuff and transfer to computer! I'm so excited!
lol, expect lotsa clips from me. I just need to learn to use the software better, and compress the file properly. Right now I got 5mb file for 30sec shoot. But it's perfect quality!
I don't wanna go to bed and want to play around with this thing! :) lol
btw here is my camera http://www.dealznet.com/letsgodigital/grdvl220.html
We got it for ~375-400 USD, can't remember the exact price!

Well, it's almost done. I'm just putting some finishing touches on it. What I want to say is whenI rendered it with the highest quality possible in mpg format, it turned out really nice! but ~150mb. To reduce the size, I am rendering at a lower quality, so the video will be half decent!
sounds nice!
I can't beleive it cost that little...very good deal on any camcorder!
I hope just to get a digi camera at around 300

Well, that's store price. I got it at a warehouse sale, and it's refurbished!
That's the reason it's 400 bucks USD. New it's 600 first of all. Second, it has plenty of functions, and does all I need and most would in a camera! The software that came with the FireWire card and Cable is also pretty good. I just have to figure out how to propely use it all! :)

it will be just fine if your not planning on printing them out... i did my research and until they get up to 8mp the print wont be as good as a regular 35mm... but for computer use their great.
Hope your happy with it your gonna have to post some of them on the board
yeah, it's probably just gonna be for comp pics...cars, and such...
and no digi cam will ever be as good as a regular cam...
digi's take parts of the pic and put them together.
And reg cams take the whole pic no distorting.

well from what i've read once they get 8mp+ they will be so much info in one image that you wont notice it. Right now alot of photos you see in mags and newspapers are shot with 8mp+ cameras you just cant get them for personal use.
yeah, those cams are pretty sweet
