Ok, every now and then I'll go to turn on my headlights and none of the dash lights will come on. The headlights will work fine but it will pitch black inside the car? Anybody?

So this doesn't happen every time? Can you give us some more details, or is it just a totally random event?

Ok,
I filled with gas a week ago. When I pulled into the station the dash lights worked. After filling with gas they wouldn't turn on. They didn't work the next few nights, but they turned on last night without incident. I took it to the Honda shop twice but they can't fix it.::no::
PS: You can sent me over to the Civic page if you want...I went crazy and posted it here...

The only thing I can think of at this point is maybe you have a short somewhere. This could cause the lights to work sometimes and not othertimes. Hope this helps.

LIke Pîmp said, maybe a short..
Or maybe a faulty harness. Bad connection.
You'd have to open it up.
Start from the swith (on/off) and work your way to lights..
Of course when the lights dont work.

What year & trim Civic? One thing that they may overlook is your hazards. In the 99-00 if you disconnect the hazard switch no dash lights come on. Do your turn signals light up?

when the interior lights dont work, do your tail lights work?
Usually if the interior lights are out so are the tails, this would mean either a fuse, or a problem with the wiring related to the fuse box.
So next time the lights go out check your tails.
