got arrested...

Hey guys...I got arrested a little while ago...Me and my brother were coming out of St.Lukes Hospital in manhattan, we were visiting our grandmother who has cancerous tumors in her intestines...we got into my brothers accord and we were coming back home...we were about to get on the west side highway when this crown victoria comes behind us and starts flashing their lights...then this jeep came in front of us and stopped us...it was 4 undercover cops...they came up to the car and told my brother to turn off the car and put the key on the dashboard...they pulled us out the car and searched us for weapons...they said that we "had" cocaine in the car and handcuffed me and my brother and sat us in their car...they searched the car completely and didnt find shyte...they let us go and told us they thought we had cocaine in the car...they didnt want to give us their badge numbers and left...pretty messed up...well juss felt like sharing with you guys how messed up some cops in NY can be...:paranoid:

Yeah you were illeally searched. And accord man is right, they're suppose to give you their badge # if you asked for it. Did they even show you any type of ID?

yeah they showed us their badges when they first came up to the car but after they took off the handcuffs they woulnd't give us their badge numbers and they left.

you can't be illegaly searched...if cops think you might have any kind of drug or weapon...they can search if they want...

I didnt think they could search your car without reasonable cause. Maybe it just depends on the state or something. I would go up to the police station and atleast ask.

you don't want to go asking any questions or trying to start any problems with the nypd. they SERIOUSLY look out for there own regardless of who's right or wrong.

if I where you I'd stick to being happy you didn't get busted and forget about the whole thing. (I'd also check through your car very well to make sure they didn't umm... drop something in there.)

yeah, im not trying to think bout it...yeah we checked the car out on sunday morning to make sure nothing was in there and that they didnt take anything from the car as well...

Yeah its true that they can search your car if they have reasonable cause, and if thats the case then they are just doing their job. But if a crown vic pulls up behind you then a jeep blocks the front of your car and 4 undercover cops come out it sort of sounds like they've been watching you for a while. If they were watching you guys for a while then they would have known that you did nothing wrong. I don't know, it just doesn't sound right to me.

yo we came out the hospital, went like to 4 blocks and we missed the entrance to the westside highway so we kept going and we made a u turn and when we made the U turn i looked back and saw the crown victoria...they wasn't just watching us b/c my father said that when he passed by there like 30 minutes later that they was stopping other people too
