Ok I figured out that the coilovers for under $500 are Coilover Sleeves which consist of a new Spring and a Nut you can Tighten to Compress that Spring.

What the heck is a True Coil-over the ones they sell for $1000 They look super complicated! ?!?! ?

They are a matched spring/threaded shock body working as a single unit (kind of). Designed to work well together, you'll get better handling/strength out of a true coilover setup.

but also with shocks like koni and a good coilover sleeve i bet the handling will be as good. as i saw my konis today i think my agx's don't even compare to them. Koni rules

true coilover systems can be had for $600+, it just depends what company you go with.

remeber though, a cheap true coilover isnt necesaraly better than a well matched spring/shock setup. basicaly, if your spending less than 1000 on the true coilovers, your better off with ground controls and koni yellows

That's a junk load of money though, I'm just going to do this for the look, I'm not really into performance, I'd friggin kill myself, trying to test em out on the tight corners, and suspension ain't worth diddly on the track.

I think i'm going to go with a CoilOver Sleeve, for now with a 1" drop on stock suspension. I'm thinking 1" will be safe on the suspension, and I have to shell out some cash and get my driveway paved, before I go any lower.

From what I can tell Of the Coilover Sleeve set up, it really only consist on three components, A Spring, A Bolt, and A nut.
From what I can See, All three of these things are metal, and the spring will have a certain Spring constant ratio.
I can't really think of a reason why some set's of Sleeves would cost $500 and some on Ebay only cost $88

I emailed an $88 Dollar vendor on ebay, and thier response was that it came from the manufactor of the SKUNK2 coilovers, but was a no name brand.

Does anyone see a potential problem here, Am I overlooking something rather than spring constanst, and what grade of steel, is used ??!??!??!?

well if u get the controls, you can always get the eibach ERS springs for 25-30 a piece.
