find a accord 5spd in a junkyard. you live in OH, why worried about emissions? im going to find out if people in cali pass smog cause your going to pay alot more for a usdm.

from what i just read, they are idential as far as passing smog after a swap. theres more than a handful of people in cali on one of my board that has replied saying they've done it and they pass.

thanks for finding that out for me.
as for the pedals part i looked in every junkyard in cleveland for a stock spoiler off a 4th gen accord and i could find no damn 4th generations. 3 and 5th generation galore

yeah, theres people in cali that have swaped the h22(jdm and usdm) in in place of the h23, and they both have to tell the place they have a swaped engine in there.

I just took a quick look into a 4th gen, and the pedal set looks very much like what I have?!..

Passing the smog check here in CA(from what I hear it is more difficult here) is difficult but not impossible if you dish out some cash. I'm planning on getting an h22a1 motor from hmotorsonline.com because they are about 5 minutes from where I live ;) If you have it professionally installed, they can fine tune it so that it passes emissions standards. But I would definitely go for the USDM one. JDM stuff is just a little risky when dealing with legality.

hmm yes they do and the whole swap is cheaper than a manual. and let's face it for 2500 you can't get a 35 k miles car
