What do you guys think about me getting a Subaru WRX for my next car? Not a brand new one but like a 97 or 98? Let me know what you guys think and if the insurace will be sky high at the age of 17.... Thanks

if you CAN get a 97 or 98 wrx get it! i love those! but seeing how we never got them till 2001 in america, i doubt your gonna get one

the closest thing to a wrx in those years will be the 2.5RS.

i found one a while back with the right front messed up. i'm sure it had some frame damage but for $1500

I'd take a 2.5RS if you couldn't afford a newer WRX. Both are very sweet cars.

If you watch rally racing you know that the WRX is just a bad ass car. You can take the Cat's off and add like 50 hp just like that. It has four of them, maybe take three off. Tune the thing up a bit. Better tranny, brakes, shocks, then you'd be fly'n.

I believe it has 3 cats, and I've read that you gain good power by removing them, but not 50 whp.
