i measured it, and i got 6'', but they only sell 6.5'' and 51/4''

sealed is going to need more power to make it louder, ported is going to take less power for the same thump...

make sure you have a subsonic filter if you're going to go ported.

Dude, someone tells you one is louder that the other, and your set to go??
Yes they will be louder at a certain slim frequency range.. But dont expect big bass out of them, cause when you go low, they wont do very well in a ported box.
Anyways, I wouldnt go ported with 10W6..

i can always seal up the hole tho....jsut cut a piece of wood to size, and use wood glue to glue it in there.

NO you cant.. in 99.9% cases, the recommended sizes will be different.

Its a actually a filter..
It cuts out the frequencies lower than a certain selected frequency.. If you go ported, its will be a must, since you'll be running 10"s.

and where can i get one? and can i make a home made one, since you said it was an actualy filter? i mean, it seems pretty easy...its nothing techical.

the best would be to get an amp with a subsonic filter..
or if you get an outboard crossover, they often come with a subsonic filter..
One question for you, why do you want to go ported?
