What does it take to be classified as a bad driver?
Now i've been in one accident as alot of you know but I dont consider myself a bad driver, should I? I know people who have never had an accident but i'd classify them as a bad driver.
So what do you think it takes to be a bad driver?

lack of attention while driving. accedents happen, you dont have to get caught to be a bad driver

Lack of control over there car and surroundings while driving at any speed. You should always know where you are, what's going on, and having an excape route is always good too.

a person with no control.. i mean someone who drives completely irrationally... like tailing people in traffic when there is nowhere to go, no way to get by... somebody who unnecisarily breaks.. or rides the breaks.... i see this alot when i drive... some cars are able to maintain a constant speed while others cannot... this is a sign of a really bad driver... um whatelse.. cutting people off... not signalling when changing lanes.. getting on the turn signal too late so i am unable to merge with traffic because i might of been able to merge..but by the time the person signals its too late... theres so many of these poeple and they piss me off beyond belief... other signs of bad drivers are when they are in the fast or left lane doing the limit and people are passing on the right.. or people who drive in your blindspot... well this is to name a few characteristics of a bad driver.. there are many more....

no control, attempting to do tons of things at once, reading a book/newpaper while driving, on the computer doing work, constantly tailgating, weaving in and out of lanes. any or all of the above...theres probably a lot more too but thats all I can think of right now.

a bad driver: women in big ass suvs. that's it. they can't handle the geo metro but take the wheel of an excursion:foot:
You're automatically a bad driver if you piss someone off.

bad drivers to me = those that don't use turn signals when necessary (I don't use mine if no one is behind me or isn't going to affect someone else on the road), those drivers who have the attention span of a 3 yr old, those who consistently drive erradictly(?)(crossing the double yellows, ride the rumble strips on the highway etc), unnecessary breaking/speeding, racing to a red light just to slam on breaks when you get there, tailgaiting on a regular basis, basically anyone being a menace on the road on a consistent basis. KEY WORD IN MY POST IS CONSISTENCY!!!

I've had SEVEN accidents in my car. I still don't think I'm a bad driver.
None were my fault, although some, I probably could have avoided. I just drive how I'm supposed to and if people get in my way...to bad. They can gimme some insurance money & I'll add something new to my car. ;) :pfft:

You're a bad driver if you don't pay enough attention. That includes being on the defensive to avoid potential accidents. Also, good control of your vehicle is a bonus ;)

Oops :D sorry
Its the truth though. Being a good driver means watching out for problems on the road. You can't just barrel down your lane and hope others don't mess up. I would have been in a zillion wrecks by now if I did that, but I haven't been in a single one :)

the biggest mistake that you can do on the road is to assume that the other drivers won't make a mistake. i've avoided so many wrecks by now, that i guess i don't even need to hold the wheel. the car will do it on it's own
I don't know if this is considered bad driving, but sometimes i guess the intention of the line change for the drivers that fail to use the turn signals, and i usually don't let them change the lanes until i'm too bored of that, or they miss the intersection or whatever :ricer:

:banghead: Well, I've probably avoided the really bad ones. But, stupid stuff like rear ends....easy way to make good money. This 1 girl rear ended me & my dad got me $600 for pain and suffering! My shoulder was bruised and that was it! hehe...
Bought my new front bumper w/that one & half my rims.
Good deal.

Yes, they've all been in my rex. I've had all 4 corners jacked up and the driver's side door and the frong & back bumpers. haha! Luckily, my dad is a body man & owns a body shop, so we just roll 'er in the shop, & he gives me his canary yellow, short shiftin, 57 chevy to drive.... hehe   :cigar:

I don't consider someone who's had serveral accidents to be a bad driver, nor do I consider someone who hasn't had any accidents or tickets to be a good driver. Sometimes your just lucky, other times your not. As long as I feel safe in the car with them driving, then to me they're a good driver. If I don't feel safe, then they're a bad driver.
