hey I'm getting a jdm gsr swap for my civic....I want to get all the engine work done while the car's in the shop for the swap(there is no way I can swap it myself, dont have the tools or talent)...First question: Will the exhaust fit up the header after the swap? What internal engine components should I get to be able to have massive boost without blowing up anything? How do I get twin turbo on the gsr engine? Is a Greddy SP exhaust system too small for turbo? The specs are here:

http://www.greddy.com/products/exhaust_frame.htm

Are there any common mechanical problems that hybrids are cursed with? Am I going to want a cable or hydraulic trans?

thanks for the help

hydraulic transmission.
you dont want to twin turbo the gsr engine.
how about you do some research instead of just throwing on a bunch of parts like a complete no0b and not knowing wtf anything does. research is worth more hp than you will ever achieve.
yes a GReddy SP is too small.
the exhaust will fit w/ an extension welded on to mate with the header.

um...damn I'm as retarted as I made myself out to be...I talked to this mechanic friend of mine and he suggested twin turbo...I've never heard of gsr twin turbo, I've heard of converting twin turbo(ie supra) to single turbo...and i know twin turbo is having a smaller turbo that spools up at a lower rpm then switching to a larger turbo at a mid rpm to help elminate turbo lag...As for the engine internals I'm pretty sure you replace the piston rods, valve spring, fuel pump, etc etc.....but ok nevermind...and I know that if you have too much boost you'll get detonation which is when the explosion in the chamber goes off at the wrong time, when the pistion is suppose to be coming down....but ok I'll do some more research...But is there any known problems that hybrid cars have?

well if your mechanic is saying to go twin turbo on a GSR motor, there are going to be a lot of mechanical problems cuz hes a clown.
its a swap, if you do everything right, its a stock motor in a different car - only way you'll have mechanical problems are if the motor is a pos to begin with.
