Thanks guys i hope i get that job sooooo much.
around here pay is anywhere from 55,000-100,000 a year. The school was talking about 62 for me, if i get hired there...just think 19 years old and making that kind of money... although i have to pay my school loans...Its a tough area of work to get into. Everybody wants experince plus the education, i have the education but no professinal experice that will help me land the job.
Going to School is a big thing I attanded College and my major was computer science, plus i went to a trade school to get my certifactions A+,NET+,MCSA (microsoft certified systems associte),CCNA (Cisco certified Network associte) and another microsoft class for networking. BTW CCNA bas pay in new your is 60k a year....also check out www.salary.com
*edit* i just went to dells website for a laptop and they approved me for 1500 even with my bad credit! man this week is great! sorry i had to tell someone;)
Why do yuo have bad credit?...lol

well my credit isn't horrible but i have a couple of bad marks on it...before they wouldn't even approve me for anything. I missed a couple of credit card payments here and there i think like 4 total... and after 60 days the go to the credit, and the thing was the never sent me the invoice and when i called and said somethign about it they said its my job to remeber to pay that bill. Well i was going to school for 48 hous and working 36 hours a week had my 2 car payments, 3 credit card payments, cell phone bill, school loans, plus time and money for the girlfriend:) so that 1 bill was the last thing on my mind. (those homos...)

Yep i did, i got 2 and half years done and got my associate degree and i will go back to eventually get my bachelor. Then i finished trade school ( 10 months). The real kicker is im a high school drop out. I didn't like high school it was boring and the teachers sucked, so i droped out at 16 and a hlaf got my GED and then went to college when i was 17. I attended both Purdue University and Vincenness University. Thanks for the support guys :)

The MCSA test has alot to do with active directory. The CCNA is just basic routing but youll have to learn the IOS of the routers and switches. A really good website is www.cramsession.com They have pretty good study guides and i used them when i was taking the test. Although now i think you have to pay to be able to download the .pdf files you can still view them online. Good luck

LOL, Acutally i applied for a IT job at an elementry school last march and they kept my resume on file and just called me like 2 weeks ago out of the blue. Ive been looking for a job now for about 8 months...After reading your layoff thread i wish you luck and i know how your feeling. Try cramsession.com and look through the forums, you will be amazed at some of those people have. BTW i have a new resume im gonna try and use from now on (instead of my other stupid one) it concatrates more on education and skill rather than experince, pm me if you wanna look it over/give it a try.
