Even though I probably wont know...
You could be a little more descriptive...
How do you know it's broke?
Have you checked the obvisious stuff, like filling your tank
Does the low gas light come on??
you may have have to take your dash apart and check the lines running to the gauge.

you sputter out ??!? When ?? when you have no more gas ?? If your sputtering out while you still have gas.. you have a much bigger Problem. If your Low Gas indicator is not coming on, then that is tied into the problem, which could be behind your dash or in your gas take, or anywhere inbetween,... If your low gas indicator comes on... but your needle is stuck.. then your needle is the only problem and you will need to take your dash apart..
You need to give more details.

I am sputter out because i do not know how much gas i have and i run out without knowing. The needle is constantly on full, the low gas indicator never comes on. and thats all i know, ask me what details you need

Possibly an issues in the tank. I can't really give you more detail, I don't have my Helms with me.
I'd suggest letting a reputable shop check it out.

Do 5th generation civics have a low gas light? I have a 94 ex, and I've never seen it.

I've only seen mine come on once. The gas has to be REAL low.

Isn't thier some Law stating you have to have a low gas light ??!?!? I could be mistaken...
Anyway.. you need to take it to a shop and have it looked at.

nope no law against no gas lights. my 93 chevy cavalier didnt have one and the 95 jeep cherokees didnt have one either.
If I were you FausteVonHonda I'd take it to a dealer or good mechanic asap. otherwise...its just gonna keep pissing you off.

i would say the bobber in the tank is stuck in the full posistion. take it out, and see if it needs replaced. no money needed to just inspect it...just time.

Mine is broken too....It will acknowlege that I have a full tank of gas when I fill up, but when I accelerate hard or drive fast...the needle goes down to like half a tank, but then when I am idle, like at a stop light, it slowly goes back up again...lol. I think it is kinda funny. Annoying, but funny. I think I messed something up when I installed indiglo gauges. I never had this problem before I installed them. I was told i need to buy a whole new gauge cluster for 80 bucks from Honda.
