To alteeza.....or not to alteeza...that is the question.

So I'm here to ask a few people's (all of your opinions) on Alteeza tail lights. Some people call them Ricer tail lights, and some people love them. I like em. I also like JDM tail lights, but this Thread is about Alteeza lights. Why would they be considered rice? Why wouldn't they be?

I think everyone has a little rice in them.
What do you think?

my 2 lincoln: i'm not a big fan of it. NOT because i think it's ugly, BUT because i think the 99-00 civic stock tail lights are more attractive. i had a set before (the carbon fiber look). i did NOT install it cuz it looked cheaply made. i'm not saying that all of 'em are. i do not DOG on ppl with it, honestly. it's your car man, do watcha gotta do;)

I agree with thermal... the half clearones look better imo.. I too had a set but the ones with the chrome backs... Theydo look cheap to me.. Mine got a little moisture behind them at times.. I would spend money on other things like suspension, short shifters, etc.. before buying another set of lights.

I think they are soooo overplayed. However, with my red color, I dig just the clean look of all red, agree? I am considering buying a set of carbon fibers tho for mine, from good ol' mr. shaun frank, from www.newedgeracing.com (cheep plug ;) )

The best looking tailights in my opinion are solid red. Nothing else. I would like to have a set of solid red ones for my car.

The red DSM above needs to stay how it is. Keep the taillights. Nothing would look better on that car.

On Honda's I am not a fan of Altezza style lights. I had the first set to hit Nopi stores and had them for about 2 months before anyone else got them. I liked them because they were different. Then I started looking at them on other cars and went, "Damn man, my car looks like that?" and I went back to stock. Now I have a set of the Jag style knock off ones. They are the half red/half clear with the lights as circles behind the red. I like the look of those. They give it a cleaner look in my opinion, and the stock Accord taillights are pretty damn boring.

But, to each his own. Do what you like, not what I like.

Add another one to the list of dont get them. I see about 100 of them everyday. Granted some of them I do like but I have heard so many horror stories with them leaking and falling apart. So I think it would be better for you to get something that you can enjoy for a long while and not fall apart.

What color is your car? I think that makes a difference. I like them but personally I wouldn't put them on mine. I like my stock tails. Black, white and silver cars look good with altezzas. What gen were you thinking of?

Yeah color def. makes the difference. Personally, I don't really like the ones on my car but I got such a good deal I couldn't refuse.

Derek... If I were you, this is what Id do to the outside of the car since you have a white car..

Id go CF hood, black wheels, set it at a nice height see if you can find a set of half white/red, or even all red, but if you can find some Id go half red and tinted black. Get the molding and everything painted white. Thats it nothing else.. IMO your car would look perfect.. Then start on the motor...

The reason why I got alteeza tail lights is bekause no one here really has them. I bought them beakuse I thought that people wouldn't catch on. But....now i see NEoN's and Cavileerererere's
with them and ricer's with spray painted racing stripes on and shit like that. Piss me off. Since my car is white I think they look good. And yeah when my car get's painted from the accident i'm also getting my mouldings, mirrors, and everything black on my car painted white. I think it'll look hella good. Need bigger rims too.
