im new to hondas (sr20de kid) i was wondering if it is possable to put a sohc vtec head on a dohc d16 out of an first gen integra. thanks for the help, dont grill me to much on the nissan thing.

yes it is a possible swap....no crazier than the LS/VTEC. But I am not sure that the gain is worth the trouble....I am not too familiar with the swap...I just know it can be done :)

DOHC D16? D16's are SOHC engines. you CANNOT mate a SOHC head/block with a DOHC head/block.
now on the other hand, if you mean can you use a SOHC teg block with a SOHC vtec head, then yes you can do so. as long as they are both D series engines you can.

damn my bad.....I did not read the thread close enough....I thought you were talkin bout a SOHC VTEC head on a SOHC nonVTEC block.....hybrid3doorcx is right.....DOHC on SOHC cant be done. ;)
