hey whats up next week im taking a non vtec 1.6 block and throwing a sohc vtec head on it, the ex ecu and all, any idea what it would run, in a 90 crx, CAI/H/E

gotta be better than that my friend ran a 16.0 in a civic ex 94 when he gutted his interoir and only has intake, headers, exhaust and msd im thinking mid or low 15's

My friend has a ZC in his crx and runs a 15.8...with intake and exhaust....

I would still say around 16. Your only runnin a 1.6 Sohc with no mods ..... let us know any ways for future refrence....Good luck

yeah... 1.6L SOHC with I/H/E only... not to mention the age of the engine causing it to lose power... also prob wont have ideal timing just using the ex ecu... so yeah id say mid 16s... if you are lucky

Good point bringing up the age of it ......You probally might even loose a little more cause of compression issues and bad seals

the age of the motor? the block is a 96 and the head is a 95

its gott ahave less miles than my 1.5 has, which is 170k

RT doesnt count against your 1/4 time, you can have a 5.4 RT time and still run the same time that u would with a .5 RT

yeah big boxes make a difference, i had a 90 integra LS, i ran a 16.7 with the speaker box and the interior i took out the box and the interior and ran a 16.1

**** show, i'm all go, i already did my show car,,, a 93 prelude si, painted phoneix yellow, CF hood... 17"s, full system... eck i coulda had a real fast car... that damn thing only ran a 15.7

and yeah, I like fast too...but I have to have a system in my car...I don't have one right now but that'll change here shortly...

It pretty nice dude but whoever painted it didn't do a very good job (I apologize if you painted it), I notice there's a bunch of overspray in the engine compartment and trunk........

LOL nah i didnt paint it, my friend did for me, for 300 bucks... and it needed alot of body work he fixed for me, im sorry the way pics look it looked aLOT better in real life, i need to scan a pic instead of using a digital camera

nothing the car was stock besides intake and straight muffler pipeing... the car weights aLOT 2800lbs... my crx only weights like 2000 lbs... the prelude was also nonvtec

Yeah I think I got mine down to about 1800 lbs.....
