Use a hammer, and hit it off.

Place the prong-end of one hammer at the base of the e-brake handle. Use another hammer, and hit the e-brake handle off. Worked for me and the e-brake handle was off in about 10 hits and 30 seconds.

i prefer sawing it off, right down the middle, comes right off. too much work to hammer it off - im lazy.

but a lot of people saw off the ebrake handle, its fairly common. what do you mean how does a new one go on? you dont put a ebrake handle over the old one, so you therefore have to REMOVE it from the actual ebrake lever by sawing it off.

well yeah its real obvious that the cover doesnt go over the old one. but when we're talking about cutting the old we're talking about cutting it down the lateral, not the horizontal, right?

you cut the rubber piece off...not the actual lever. i thought that was obvious though - since youd need the actual lever. :D
