I have a 96 honda civic dx. whenver I step on the break I hear what sounds like clicking noises coming from the rear right (when facing back of car) tyre.

Breaking is not affected and the clicking noises can be heard at regular intervals. I believe it may have to to with the back tyre rotation or something since the time interval between clicks goes up as the car slows down

take a look at your brake shoes. they might be getting worn or too much dust in there.

well remove jack up the car and remove the wheel, then remove the drum. i don't know how you will remove the drum because i'm not familiar with your car. on mine you just pull it out, and if it does not work you hammer it a bit.

I hear the noise from the back wheel. I thought front wheel drive vehicles just have brake drums on the front wheels.

FWD, doesnt determine if a car will have discs or drums..

The average car (not sport/luxury..) have discs in front and drums in the rear..
