What he said.
Tire prices vary vastly depending on tire size and performance you desire. If you're looking for a decent upgrade from your stock tires while keeping the same size, I've had a few people recommend Falkens. I'm not sure which models come recommended, but rumor has it you can pick up some decent performing tires for a low price from them. Michelin Pilot Sports also come to mind, but they may be more than you want to pay.
Performance tires easily go anywhere from $30/tire to $150/tire. Usually the $150/tire are the UHP tires running sizes such as 225/40/18.
I'd recommend you check out www.tirerack.com for some tire info, they've got a good selection and I've had a few people recommend them very highly. If it does nothing else for you, it'll at least give you a good idea of prices.

won't fit yours. i think you got a 5 lug wheel. anyway for 30-50 the tires you would get for a 16" rim are crap.

You won't get crap for $30-$50 a tire in my experience. If you want any performance, you'll have to put down a little more cash.

yup that's what i was thinking. as i said before the smaller the rim, cheaper the tire. anyway i got some crappy firestones for $66 last year and thay are ready to get the hell out of my car now. i will get some dunlops or pirellis. and chris tirerack has some 17" starting at 90

and what rating would those tires be. i don't know the letters but i think a tire that is rated at about 125mph is fine for a honda with basic bolt ons. i found some nice ones rated at 159mph.
