Wax/paint problem..HELP ME!!

I used Turtle Wax Car polish on my car the other day and now my paint is messed up! It worked fine on the sides of my car etc where it wasn't really too warm. But then on parts of my hood and roof it got weird. I went to wipe it off with a shimmy cloth right after it begins to dry and it didn't wipe off!! How do i get it to wipe off now? What product do i use? I washed my car and its still there..HELP. It is like a faded red color and it is soooo noticable!!

First, get the cloth damp and see if that helps. If not, grab some Meguiars quick detailer and spray that on and wipe off. That should do it, but I guess you could clay bar it if you had no other choice.

Wouldn't that remove paint/clearcoat?

not if u use 2000 grit paper and above. my car really shines and i don't have a problem with the water spots after i wash my car.

That's why you don't wax in the heat or when it's hot!
You do it when your car is cooled off!

if all else fails i think you have a law suit on your hands...Just dont foget who gave you the though of suing when you get the millions of dollars :D :D

I've seen wax do that before. If the hood was hot then it would have something to do with it. Wax can't bond properly to a hot surface. All it will do is smear around. Once it dries it becomes pretty tough to take off too. You almost need a machine to do it with some products.

It could be that you just began noticing some oxidation on your car. If its a pinkish red color then that sounds like oxidation. On a 91 then its totally possible. Something that I like to use is called Klasse. You can get it if you shop around for it. www.tacscar.com sells it. I like going through them. Klasse did THIS (http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=Jngrbrdman&AID=331250) for a red car I did this summer. It was oxidized very badly. The first stage of Klasse is a kick ass paint cleaner. That would take off any wax residue, if that is your problem, or oxidation. Not to mention that it will make your car look amazing. Ask anyone who has used it.
