Once again I come to seek the wise counsel of the HS board monkeys. Here the situation. I started lifting weights about a year ago, 3 times a week. After the first few month I noticed obvious results. Since then I hadn't gained any mass. I've been lifting more weights than before but the increase in weights I have now is nowhere near my weekly increases a year ago. Also I started jogging after I lift weights so I can loose my swole, is that a good idea? What am I doing wrong?

I mostly do bench and curls and free weights. what are pylos? Have you tried any dietary suppliments? Some of my friends take protein suppliments after lifting they claim it helps them gain mass. I'm thinking about trying that. I do upside down push ups to help me build shoulders but that hasn't done anything as far as size is concerned. I used to to crunches but that hurts my knees. :(

Diet has a lot to do with stamina and weight gain. Lots of green veggies and Chicken is great for you and may really help.
Body Builders eat around 10 servings of veggies a day
Just a thought. :)
Also, creatine and protien shakes and stuff do work. Go into your local GNC if you have one and ask them what they recommend. They are usually pretty good about that stuff.

eggs, chicken anything with protein is really good for building muscles.
as for supplements..I dunno...I'm always sketchy about those because 5-10 years down the road, it comes out that by taking "Ipto muscle carbonated x 3 juice" makes your d*ck decrease in size and your voice high pitch or something like that. :D

are you increasing weights enough? i do 3 sets of 10 at 75% my max. ive only been going for 2 month, but ive noticed the muscles ive been working have increased alot. also, if theres a rock wall near you give that a try. that KILLED me.. i was so sore.. felt like such a work out. eating good is a great idea and i'd see if your gym has personal trainers.. mine does and if i hit the point you did, im gonna visit them and see if they can help out at all.

C'mon guys quit actin like kids. I can curl 3 sets of 10 that's no problem but the weight increase right now is so slow and I hadn't gained any weight either. I've been curling 30pounds for a month now!!! and my bench only increased by 5 pounds over a month. That sucks.

Try changing the way you do them.. Do 3 sets. First set start off kinda light and do alittle more reps (about 15-20). Second set do your normal weight at about 12 reps. Thrid set, do more weight until failure. See if that helps any. :)

anybody ever use nautilus? my brother and i started using the machines and we have this strange workout that has been kicking our ass for the last six months.....we basically put on about 80% of the max and do it really slow...like two seconds up four seconds down....when we get done with legs we usually cant walk up the stairs..and we started using effervescent creatine awhile ago and thats the stuff to get....i went up ten pounds the next week
