i jsut got myself a laptop tonight. it's a winbook j4 with a p4 2.0 GHZ processor, 512k of cache and 512 mb of DDR pc2100 ram. also the hdd is a 30 gig one. Also the screen is a 15" ELCD (is not changing colors when you look at a different angle at it. what do u think ? is it worth it for $1500. most of the desktops i've been looking at were 1300 with the same speed and power, so for 200 i leaned towards the laptop.
i love laptops...the only thing thats weird is typing on them...the keys are all flat...lol

I've heard their machines are reasonable. I just got a laptop, similar config but with 1 Gb ram, 40 gig drive. It's a dell, though, so much more $$$. The dvd/cdrw is sweet.

Well, Ill admit. I havent really used any of the newer ones. We switched to getting Dells which have work super for us. The Winbooks werent very reliable. We were always having things fail on us and having tried to get things fixed. Maybe the new ones are better. Im not sure.
If I were going to buy one. Id be looking into a Dell.
Ohiochica.. Winbook makes Winbooks ;)

agreed. dell is good stuff for a work environment, and they have long battery life too.
