ok so i think i need to get a supercharger instead of a turbo because its better for daily driving and more reliable (or so I'm told  ). I know about the header and what-not for a turbo, but does the same apply for superchargers (Does an aftermarket header become trash after supercharger like with a turbo)? What about "special exhaust" that are made for turbo apps, is a normal aftermarket exhaust ok? If anyone can help that'd be great (just dont tell me that turbos are better becuase I know they are too  A supercharger is just better for me.)

nope, you can use a header with a supercharger. A lot of SC owners like the Kamikaze header because it's been proven to provide the most power gains. Since a SC is belt-driven and doesn't run off the exhaust manifold like a turbo, bigger exhaust piping isn't necessarily better. I'd run a 2.5" cat-back with maybe a 2.5" hi-flow Random Tech. cat.

VieT916 is right. you won't need any special exhaust or a special header for that, but i'd say it's recommended because the ammount of the exhaust gasses that come out of your engine

yeah im in the process of getting the exhaust now and the header will be in way before the sc.

thanks for clearing that up

Try to get a 3 inch intake. CAIs dont really make a difference with S/Cers because S/Cers just heat the air up anyway. Ive heard a 3 inch AEM Short ram works great with a S/C and its cheaper too.

I already have a RS Akimoto Ram intake so a CAI is kinda out of the question because I just bought the Akimoto less than a month ago. I was a little paranoid of water getting into the engine....Michigan is a very wet place to live most of the time.

Thatll work fine, you dont really want a CAI anyway. The only nice part about the AEM Short Ram is the fact you can get it in a 3 inch. Do you know what diameter yours is?
