MSD 6a install on my 1.5 SOHC

I got the MSD 6a w/ the blaster coil2 and the MSD cap. the delema that I'm having in hooking it up is the distributor has a built in coil so I can't fit the MSD cap on or use the external coil as I can;t figure the 2 wires from the internal coil to hook to...

if anyone has info on how to remove the internal coil or what wires to hook to frm that coil would be great. I got everything put under the hood but have this one aspect that's holding me up.

Hope someone has some insight..Look forward to some help if at all possible.

The coil should come out with 2 screws. It has too or the cap won't fit.
As far as wire colors, I don't know if they are the same as mine.
The orange & black from the 6A should goto the coil. The 2 wires that connect to the coil goto the red & white wires from the 6A.

I'll dig up my instructions tomorrow to confirm this.

well I have the instructions as to which wires from the MSD hook up I'm just not sure which wires on the Dist to tap into if I coildn't remove the internal coil.

I'm having a similar problem. I have a blaster 3 coil and MSD cap. i know how to remove the coil but what i don't know is...

should i tap the wires to the coil from outside the distributer cap (before they go to the icm (ignition control module)) or do i take the wires that go off the icm (inside the cap) to the coil????????

The stock coil gets pulled out. The 2 wires connected to it are then connected to the MSD 6A(L). Inside the cap......
