Need a bit of help here. Im an in woodshop at shcool, and our current project is, yes, to make a box. Yes, I said we have to make a box:rolleyes:. This is about the lamest ass thing we could possibly do, so I have decided to be creative. I am going to get a large tree trunk and carve an engine block out of it. Am I crazy, you betcha. Then Im going to use a specialized drill and lots of measurements to make cylinders in the wood, with little caps on top so those can be my "boxes". I plan on using a dremel for most of the detailing, a chisel for the big stuff, and a sander to smooth it all out. My question is, where can I get diagrams of engines? Not pictures, those arent clear enough. This is going to be a pain and take a long time, but will be so incredible once I am done. I think the hardest part will be dremelling the intake manifold and getting the cylinders all lined up. Dotn worry, I dont plan on including the accesories such as belts, alternator, etc. Just the stripped block. And help appreciated! Thanks:yes:

I never said itd be easy. I just want to have fun doing it, and making a box would be no fun. So hows about it. Where are the diagrams? Any engine size, shape is fine. Flat 6- No problem. I4, V8, V12 even, I just need some diagrams. Thanks guys.

Instead of making an engine, make a S2000 and have the convertible top be the lid.. ;) :D

And you have how long to do this? It'd be a neat thing, but far too much effort for a box.

my thoughts exactly, wait for a harder project before you start to spend all this time on it. your teacher is gonna be expecting this type of work from you all the time now
