ok, biker...here's the thread;)
Alright...I was talking about runs...like biking runs...lol
i guess you could call it a trip or whatever.
So you say 45 mins is a good goal to work for at first...about how many times do you bike a week?
And you mentioned buying a bike comp from you...you live in canada...and i live in South Texas...how much would the shipping be?
And maybe you could hook me up with a dis?
I'll be sure to check it out anyway.
and BTW...my bike is a KHS...it cost me almost 600 bucks so i think it's a pretty nice bike...

I have probably $600+ in my BMX.. I only paid 150$ for my mountain bike. Its a schwinn but it does what I need it to do.

45 mins of hard pedaling is a pretty good workout. I find that I get a better workout from running though. But any exercise is good exercise.;)

I have a Schwinn Moab 3 that I spent way too much on considering the limited use it gets.

I paid around $1100 back in '96 for my mtn bike....the ones I'm eyeing up now are $1500-$2500........

I want a road bike, too....but those are too damn expensive.

In Austin, a group of us usually tries to ride every weekend, sometimes during the week depending on how busy we are at work. We do anywhere from 8-16 miles in a trip depending on which trail we go to. Depending on how many people riding (and who), it can take us anywhere from 1-4 hours.......but I gotta say, after taking a few dives off a cliff and swimming around in the creek, getting back on the bike in 98F weather is damn hard. :)

well my mountain bike is worth 3500 but i didn't pay that much, its called connections. My road bike is worth around 4000, but i got it all at cost! :)

trainiing wise i would start riding 2-3times a week. the goal is just to get out and have fun. Once you get a record of having fun you can stop having fun and start enjoying the pain!

I was quoting usd give me a ring 1-800-489-8430 and ask for rob i'll hook you up all said and done for $20.

The computer is only there to tell you how many miles youve done and how fast your goign. its ment to encourage you only.

Once you get riding for a few weeks on a regular baissi you can start goig for longer rides and more often. the thing is to build up the base of fitness which you might not have. If you over do it at the start your gonna want to stop so take it easy.

fire away more questions dude!
